摘要： An image forming apparatus which enables easy management of proofs in a printing process. An image forming apparatus 299 is provided with a reader unit 50, a transfer charger 220, color sensors 274-1 to 274-4, a printer controlling unit 21. The reader unit 50 inputs image data for forming an image on a sheet having an RFID tag 701. The transfer charger 220 generates a transfer image for forming the image on the sheet based on the inputted image data. The color sensors 274-1 to 274-4 measure image formation conditions of the transfer image. The printer controlling unit 21 writes the measured image formation conditions into the RFID tag 701.

摘要： In an image formation method of an image formation apparatus for correcting uneven image formation on the basis of vibration property information corresponding to an operation sequence in image formation, vibration property information corresponding to a plurality of operation sequences are stored in a storage device. The uneven image formation is corrected on the basis of vibration property information corresponding to an operation sequence selected from the storage device. Vibration property information generated by driving a movable member is measured when the selected operation sequence is being executed while correcting the uneven image formation. It is determined whether the measured vibration property information is similar to the vibration property information selected from the storage device. The vibration property information stored in the storage device is rewrite-controlled in accordance with the measurement result or the determination result.

摘要： In a construction wherein at the start of fixing, a pressure belt is brought into contact with a fixing roller at uniform timing, it has sometimes been the case that the temperature of the pressure belt at a point of time whereat the fixing is started does not become a desired temperature but faulty fixing occurs. The timing for bringing the pressure belt into contact with the fixing roller at the start of fixing is changed in accordance with the detected temperature of the pressure belt. By such a construction, faulty fixing can be prevented from occurring.

摘要： In an image forming apparatus having a discrimination mechanism that identifies an input document image as a color image or a monochrome image and an area recognition mechanism that recognizes a plurality of different areas contained in the document image, the apparatus applies the optimum color image forming mode even if the document is identified as a color image and forms an image. The user is permitted to select either a first color image forming mode that uses recording agents of m colors (where m is a natural number equal to or greater than 4) or a second color image forming mode that uses recording agents of n colors (where n is a natural number equal to or greater than m+1) as a color image forming mode applied to at least one of the areas recognized by the area recognition mechanism. If the input document image is identified as a color image, the apparatus applies the selected color image forming mode to at least one of the areas recognized by the area recognition mechanism and forms an image.
