    • A waterproof rubber plug has a through hole through which an electric wire is inserted to be connected to a terminal. A connector housing includes a terminal chamber for accommodating the terminal and a wall portion having a through hole formed so as to oppose to the terminal chamber, through which the electric wire is inserted. A recess for accommodating the rubber plug to thereby seal the electric wire and the terminal chamber. The recess is formed on an inner side face of the wall portion of the connector housing so as to communicate with the through hole of the wall portion. A window hole is formed on a part of the wall portion surrounding the recess so as to expose an anti-sealing part of the rubber plug accommodated in the recess.

    • An adapter has a cylindrical body which is screwed onto a battery post, and a flange portion formed on a top portion of the cylindrical body to be clamped by a screwing tool. A terminal body includes a substantially U-shaped adaptor fitting portion which accommodates the adapter therein, and a seat portion on which an electric wire terminal is fixed. A lever includes a cam portion and is supported on the terminal body so as to be pivotable between a first position and a second position. A space in which the flange portion is capable of passing through is secured inside of the adaptor fitting portion when the lever is in the first position. The cam portion is abutted against an outer periphery of the cylindrical body of the adaptor so that the adaptor is retained between the cam portion and an inner face of the adaptor fitting portion, when the lever is in the second position. The flange portion of the adaptor is engaged with a top end face of the adapter fitting portion of the terminal body.

    • A half-fitting prevention connector (1) includes a pair of male and female connectors (2, 3) which are fittable to each other. A spring member (5) is received in the male connector (2) and prevents a half-fitted condition of the male and female connectors due to a resilient force thereof. A lock arm (10) is elastically and displaceably connected to a housing of one of the male and female connectors by interconnecting portions (30). The sum of the transverse cross-sectional areas of the interconnecting portions (30) is smaller than the transverse cross-sectional area of the lock arm (10) so that the entire lock arm (10) is not elastically deformed when canceling a fitted condition of the male and female connectors. When the male and female connectors are completely fitted to each other, the spring member (5) urges the lock arm (10) in such a direction that the lock arm (10) can retain the mating connector (3).

A gap (&dgr;) is formed between a front holding portion (18) in the receiving chamber (11) and the front end of the compression spring portion (6).
