    • A disk holding device supports a disk as a recording medium. The disk holding device includes a motor rotating shaft (2) protruding upward from a driving motor (1); an upper (9) and lower bearing (10) which are disposed at an upper portion and a lower portion of the driving motor and rotatably support the motor rotating shaft; a thrust bearing (12) for supporting a bottom of the motor rotating shaft; a turntable (4) which is fitted coaxially to the motor rotating shaft at the protruding side of the motor rotating shaft mounting a disk (5); a disk clamping body (13) including, at its lower part, a disk clamping portion (13a) for clamping the disk in the same axial direction as the motor rotating shaft and, its upper part, a spherical protruding portion (13b) in the same axial direction as the motor rotating shaft; a motor fixing mount (3) to which the driving motor is fixed; a tension spring (8) bridged between the motor fixing mount and a pressing arm described later; and the pressing arm (14) one end of which is pivotally attached to the motor fixing mount, the other end of which includes an inclined portion (14a) with an inclination angle of 95° to 104° with respect to an axis of the motor rotating shaft, and which presses the spherical protruding portion of the disk clamping body in an axial direction of the motor rotating shaft and in a direction perpendicular to the motor rotating shaft.

    • A disk device includes a chassis, a replay unit for supporting a disk placed within the chassis, rotating the disk, and reading data from the rotating disk, a vibration-isolating unit for holding the replay unit by connecting the replay unit to the chassis and for isolating the replay unit from vibrations, a carrying unit for carrying the disk between a disk inlet and outlet formed on the chassis and a replay position where the disk is to be fixed in the replay unit, a motor for driving the carrying unit, and a flexible printed circuit (FPC). The FPC is mounted to one lateral surface of the motor and is electrically connected to the motor. The FPC has a projecting portion which projects from an upper surface of the motor toward one surface of the disk fixed in the replay unit. The projecting portion of the FPC is adapted to be brought into contact with the disk to prevent the disk from coming into contact with the motor when the disk moves closer to the motor.

    • The present invention is provided with a reinforcing base section 5 which is secured to and engages with an independent lateral plate 2, 2 which is formed on a corner section of a chassis 1 and a damper 6 which is integrated with said reinforcing base section 5 and which absorbs vibrations of said disk playing unit. In this way, it is possible to reinforce in a simple way a corner section of a chassis 1 which is formed by progressive die molding. In addition, since the damper section 6 is disposed simultaneously by the fixation of the reinforcing base section 5 to the chassis 1, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the assembly operation at each stage, reduce the number of components and reduce costs.
