摘要： A process for the preparation of an o/w emulsion, which comprises mixing together a high molecular compound carrying at least on side chains thereof groups represented by the following formula (1): —(OX)n-E2-R (1) wherein n “X”s may be the same or different and each independently represents a linear or branched, divalent, saturated C1-6 hydrocarbon group, n stands for a number of from 5 to 300, E2 represents an ether bond or an oxycarbonyl group (—OCO— or —COO—), and R represents a linear or branched, C4-30 alkyl group which may be substituted by hydroxyl group(s), an aqueous solution of a water-soluble polyol, and a hydrophobic compound, and diluting a resulting mixture with water, and the o/w emulsion obtained by the preparation process. The emulsion according to the present invention is excellent in touch feeling to the skin and is good in stability.

摘要： A polysaccharide derivative prepared by replacing all or part of the hydroxyl hydrogen atoms of a polysaccharide or polysaccharide derivative by (A) a hydrophobic substituent having a C.sub.8 -C.sub.43 hydrocarbon chain as the partial structure and (B) an ionic hydrophilic substituent having at least one member selected from the group consisting of sulfonic, carboxyl phosphoric, and sulfate groups and salts thereof as the partial structure, wherein the average degree of replacement by the substituent (A) is 0.0001 or above but below 0.001 per constituent monosaccharide residue as determined by Zeisel's method or the diazomethane method and that by the substituent (B) is 0.01 to 2.0 per constituent monosaccharide residue as determined by colloidal titration. This polysaccharide derivative is useful as the admixture for hydraulic materials and can give stable hydraulic compositions excellent in dispersion.

摘要： Polysaccharide derivatives derived from a polysaccharide or a derivative thereof by substituting a part or all of the hydrogen atoms of the hydroxyl groups of the polysaccharide or the derivative thereof with the groups represented by the following formula (1): —E1—(OA)n—E2—R (1) wherein E1 represents a divalent saturated C1-6 hydrocarbon group which may be substituted with one or more hydroxyl groups or oxo groups, n stands for a number of from 8 to 300, n numbers of As may be the same or different and each independently represent a divalent saturated C1-6 hydrocarbon group, E2 represents an ether bond or an oxycarbonyl group, and R represents a C4-30 alkyl group which may be substituted with one or more hydroxyl groups, in which the H(s) of one or more hydroxy groups in each of said groups (1) may be further substituted with the groups (1); thickeners and emulsifiers comprising these polysaccharide derivatives; as well as aqueous compositions containing said polysaccharide derivatives. The polysaccharide derivatives of the present invention are excellent in water solubility and have such a rheological characteristic that the viscosity thereof increases at high temperatures, whereby they are very useful as a thickener exhibiting an excellent handling property at low temperatures and a sufficient thickening effect at high temperatures, as an emulsifier exhibiting an excellent emulsifying action allowing hydrophobic compounds to exist very stably in water, and also as a thickening and stabilizing agent for various toiletry products such as viscous bath preparations, massaging cosmetic preparations, shower preparations, skin care preparations, hair washing preparations, body washing preparations, garment detergents, garment finishing agents and hard surface cleaning agents.

The mobile terminal also includes a destination wireless system reporting unit that sends information indicating the determined wireless system to the handover-controlling apparatus. The handover-controlling apparatus includes a handover-controlling unit that controls handover operations for the mobile terminal based on the information indicating the determined wireless system, which is sent from the destination wireless system reporting unit.

摘要： The present invention relates to organo(poly)siloxanes modified by phosphates (including alkali metal salts thereof or the like) suitable as a component of cosmetics, and to a process for the manufacture of organo(poly)siloxanes modified by phosphates (including alkali metal salts thereof or the like) comprising reacting an organo(poly)siloxane having a group HO--(R.sup.4 O).sub.q --R.sup.5' --OR.sup.6).sub.r -- in its molecular chain, wherein R.sup.4 -R.sup.6 are alkylene groups, with an oxyhalogenated phosphorus; and further reacting it with an alkaline solution. These phosphate-modified organo(poly)siloxanes can stably emulsify silicone oils commonly used as cosmetic raw materials, irrespective of temperatures, and exhibit excellent compatibility with polar components and good foaming capability, so that they are suitable as a component of cosmetics such as skin cosmetics, skin detergents, hair cosmetics, hair detergents, and the like.
