摘要： A composition comprising a lactone-modified alicyclic compound (I), or an epoxidized lactone-modified alicyclic compound (II) of the following formulae: ##STR1## wherein R is an alkyl group, an aromatic group or an alkenyl group having carbon number of from 1 to 30, Y.sup.1 is at least one of the structural groups; ##STR2## Y.sup.2 is at least one of the structural group; ##STR3## X is the structural group; ##STR4## and R.sup.a and R.sup.b each independently is hydrogen or a methyl group, c and c' represent a number of from 4 to 8, from n1 to nL represents 0 or a number of more than 0, respectively, and n1+n2+n3+ . . . +nL corresponds to the total mole numbers of a lactone introduced into one molecule.These compositions can be made into a heat-curable composition, a photo-curable composition, a polymerizable composition and another photo-curable composition.

The novel lactone-modified diketene (meth)acrylate compound of the present invention can be preferably used as resins for coatings, adhesives, inks, photosensitive materials for photographs, dispersants for pigments, agents for processing fibers, and modifiers for rubbers. Furthermore, disclosed is a novel (co)polymer which comprises the novel lactone-modified diketene (meth)acrylate compound and, optionally, a polymerizable monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond. Still further, disclosed is a curable composition which comprises a lactone-modified diketene (meth)acrylate compound and at least one selected from the group consisting of a melamine, an isocyanate, and aldehyde, and an amine.

摘要： The present invention provides a composition represented by the formula ##STR1## (wherein x is an integer of 3 to 7, y is an integer of 0 to 50, and R.sub.a and R.sub.b are H, methyl group, or propyl group and each of the R.sub.a and R.sub.b groups may be replaced with any of the other groups simultaneously) and useful as a raw material or modifier for resins for use in coating compositions, adhesives, epoxy resins, and the like, and further provides a process for producing a composition comprising compounds represented by the above formula (I) which process is characterized in that a compound represented by the formula ##STR2## is reacted with a lactone at 30 to 20.degree. C. or compounds represented by the formula ##STR3## (wherein x, y, R.sub.a, and R.sub.b have the meanings as defined above) are epoxidized at 0 to 80.degree. C. using a peroxide.

摘要： Disclosed are a lactone-modified polyvinyl alcohol and a process for the preparation thereof, a polymer composition, a permanently anti-electrostatic resin composition, a lactone-modified resin having hydroxyl groups, and a process for the preparation thereof. The lactone-modified polyvinyl alcohol can be used in wide fields owing to the capability of freely adjusting the water solubility, such as water-soluble, gradually water-soluble, low water-soluble, and water-insoluble by a degree modified by lactone compounds, and owing to possessing properties both of PVA and lactones. Furthermore, the lactone-modified polyvinyl alcohol has properties such as being plasticizers or softening agents, and as a result, there can be provided a polymer composition having excellent properties by mixing with a hydrophilic polymer or polar polymer. Still further, a blend resin composition in which a variety of resins are blended with the lactone-modified polyvinyl alcohol has an excellent permanently-anti-electrostatic property, and the resin composition having a permanently-anti-electrostatic property can be preferably employed as a variety of molded articles such as parts for electric appliances, textiles, films, etc.
