    • Disclosed is a method of storing scene comprising a three-dimensional image, which has been generated by converting an image input an apparatus supporting photographing of the three-dimensional image, into a recording medium. The method includes: loading, in a predetermined file type field, image type information indicating one of a single stereoscopic image and a synthetic image including a monoscopic image and a stereoscopic image; loading, in a configurative information container field, scene descriptor information indicating temporal and spatial relations between a plurality of media objects included in the three-dimensional image, object configurative information indicating object attributes of each media object of said plurality of media objects and a configurative relation between encoded streams of each of the media objects of said plurality, configurative information of the encoded streams, first metadata between the plurality of media objects, and second metadata between each media object of the plurality and the encoded stream thereof, and loading, in a media data container field, a bit stream of each media object included in the three-dimensional image, a bit stream for the first metadata, and a bit stream for the second metadata.

    • A passive optical network system is disclosed that simultaneously provides both broadcasting service and data service. The passive optical network (PON) amplifies the optical signals for the broadcasting service in an optical amplifier media of the local office by pumping optical signals generated from the central office and provides the optical signals for the broadcasting service to the subscriber terminals. Therefore, the present invention can simultaneously provide broadcasting service and data service for more subscribers without reducing the number of subscribers to the PON. Also, the present invention uses a plurality of optical sources for the data service and the broadcasting service and receives the optical signals generated from the optical sources by using a plurality of optical receivers in the subscriber terminals, and thus can provide a greater amount and variety of data services and broadcasting services.

    • The present invention is directed to a bidirectional add/drop multiplexer connected with waveguides at opposite ends thereof, respectively, and adapted to add/drop a channel in forward and reverse directions. The multiplexer includes a forward arrayed waveguide grating for demultiplexing the respective channels of the forward optical signal inputted thereto, for adding or dropping a channel to the demultiplexed channels of the forward optical signal, and for multiplexing the channel-added or dropped channels; a reverse arrayed waveguide grating for demultiplexing respective channels of the reverse optical signal inputted thereto, for adding or dropping a channel to the demultiplexed channels of the reverse optical signal, and for multiplexing the channel-added or dropped channels; a first circulator for inputting the forward optical signal to the forward waveguide grating and outputting the reverse optical signal received from the reverse waveguide grating to one of the waveguides, and, a second circulator for inputting the reverse optical signal to the forward waveguide grating and outputting the forward optical signal received from the forward waveguide grating to the other waveguide. Using this arrangement, the bidirectional add/drop multiplexer is capable of cutting off the relative intensity noise while avoiding the collision of the forward and reverse optical signals.
