    • Provided is a method and system for streaming multimedia data between hetero UPnP networks configured of a private network. The method comprises establishing a communication channel with a relay peer; establishing a virtual communication channel with a specific extensible home connector selected from a plurality of extensible home connectors connected with the relay peer; searching multimedia data to play from multimedia data in the specific extensible home connector which exists on the UPnP network through the virtual communication channel; establishing a communication environment through the UPnP internet gateway of the specific extensible home connector in case of demanding play of the searched multimedia data; and receiving multimedia data from the specific extensible home connector through the communication environment.

    • Provided is an apparatus and method for creating device association/control information for realistic media representation. The device includes a media analyzer, a device information creator, a device parameter creator, a device attribute database, a device control information creator, and a device control stream creator. The media analyzer analyzes media to determine control values and control times for control parameters of respective devices to be associated for media reproduction. The device information creator creates device information by searching peripheral devices connected to a media reproduction device. The device parameter creator creates device parameter information by extracting controllable factors for the respective devices. The device attribute database stores the device information and the device parameter information. The device control information creator creates device control information including control values and control times for the respective device parameters. The device control stream creator creates a device control stream by converting the device control information into a stream-format binary code in the order of reproduction. Herein, one or more devices are associated according to the contents of the media. The apparatus and method can provide the optimal media representation effect by controlling peripheral devices suitably for an available environment by creating a signal for controlling the peripheral devices according to the media contents.

    • A peer-to-peer service method and system are provided. The peer-to-peer service method include advertising E-mail address information and service and sharing resource information through a peer-to-peer network at peers, determining whether a peer requesting a service and a peer providing the service are in online state or in offline state on the peer-to-peer network, and providing a peer-to-peer service through an E-mail server when the peer requesting the service or the peer providing the service is in offline state. The peer-to-peer service system and method using an E-mail service are capable of providing a variety of P2P services (e.g., a message exchange, a file exchange, a remote control, etc.) to peers, which are in online state or temporarily in offline state, by using the E-mail in the P2P network environment which manages the connection information of the peers joined to the corresponding service or the indexes of the sharing resources.
