摘要： A method of setting a packet transmission path in a wireless communication network and a network apparatus using the same are provided. A method of setting a packet transmission path includes setting N−1 routing regions including at least one node between a source node and a destination node based on a predetermined N number of hops, N denoting an integer greater than or equal to two, and determining a node in each of the routing regions as a relay node based on a channel gain.

摘要： Disclosed is a data transmission/reception method and system for minimizing intercarrier interference (ICI) in a communication system using a multicarrier. The data transmission method by a transmitter includes grouping transmission signals in units of a predetermined number of transmission signals when the transmitter has received the transmission signals, multiplying each group of the transmission signals by a transmission coding matrix, and transmitting the transmission signals multiplied by the transmission coding matrix to a receiver.

摘要： An apparatus and method for determining a beamforming vector in a codebook-based transmission beamforming system are provided. In a feedback method for a receiver in a codebook-based transmission beamforming system, forthcoming channel values for a forthcoming period are generated using M present and previous channel estimates. Effective channel gains for all transmission beamforming vectors included in a codebook are calculated using the forthcoming channel values. A codebook index corresponding to the maximum effective channel gains is fed back to a transmitter.

摘要： Techniques for multilevel coding of a stream of information bits in a communication system. The stream of information bits is separated into portions, and each of the portions is associated with a different level of the multilevel coding. At least one code is applied to the portion of the information bits of each level in a designated subset of the full set of levels, such that the portions of the information bits for levels in the designated subset are coded while the portions of the information bits for levels not in the designated subset are uncoded. Both the coded portions of the information bits and the uncoded portions of the information bits are used to select modulation symbols for transmission in the system. Advantageously, the invention provides improved coding gain relative to conventional techniques, and can be configured to provide unequal error protection as well as time diversity for transmissions in the system.
