摘要： The invention concerns a method for obtaining operating parameters for x-ray imaging a patients maxillofacial region, the method comprising: —identifying a patients maxillofacial first region of interest ROI1, —determining a height of a horizontal plane of said patients maxillofacial first region of interest ROI1 when the patient is in an occlusion position or bites a patient positioning accessory, said horizontal plane passing through the teeth and the bones of the jaw, —acquiring through a slit-shaped collimator window a first set of data relative to said patients maxillofacial first region of interest ROI1 including the horizontal plane using x-ray CBCT imaging and a first x-ray dose, said first set of data being suitable for generating a CBCT slice, —reconstructing the CBCT slice comprising the horizontal plane based on the first set of data relative to the patients maxillofacial first region of interest ROI1, —obtaining operating parameters for an x-ray imaging apparatus based on the reconstructed CBCT slice in view of acquiring a second set of data of a patients maxillofacial second region of interest ROI2 using a second x-ray dose, the first x-ray dose being lower than the second x-ray dose.

摘要： The present disclosure describes methods for improving semi-automatic and/or fully automatic tooth segmentation in reconstructed images of X-ray scans using multi-energy X-ray spectra and/or a multi-energy X-ray scanner at more than one energy. Such improved segmentation of teeth in a reconstructed image of an X-ray scan is a critical first step in the utilization of the image for applications in orthodontics, endodontics, and implant planning In accordance with the methods, tooth segmentation may be performed semi-automatically or automatically for images which are reconstructed from a multi-energy X-ray scan. The results of the tooth segmentation may be represented as an image map which identifies voxels which are within a tooth or as a three-dimensional (3D) grid or any other representation of a three-dimensional (3D) spatial region.

摘要： A dental X-ray apparatus of the conical-beam digitized-tomography type includes: an X-ray generator emitting an X-ray beam towards an object and provided with a collimation element for collimating the emitted beam; an X-ray sensor having an active surface arranged opposite the generator; wherein the generator and the sensor can rotate simultaneously about a rotation axis, the sensor being oriented so that a longitudinal axis extending from the generator to the sensor through the rotation axis is perpendicular to the active surface of the sensor, the center of the sensor being transversally offset relative to the projection of the axis on the sensor's active surface, the arrangement of the collimation element and the sensor thus offset defining that the collimated beam illuminates the sensor's active surface while leaving a peripheral area of the surface that is faintly illuminated by the collimated beam relative to the rest of the active surface.
