摘要： The present disclosure provides an electrically gear turbofan that includes a fan; a first spool shaft; and an electrical gearbox including: an armature winding connected to the first spool shaft and coupled to a power source; and a magnetic receiver connected to the fan, and wherein an air gap is defined between the armature winding and the magnetic receiver. The turbines and electrical gearing enable an operator to rotate the spool shaft at a first rotational speed; power an armature winding to generate an armature magnetic field, wherein the armature magnetic field rotates at a second rotational speed; transfer rotational energy via the armature magnetic field from the spool shaft to the magnetic receiver; and rotate the fan at a third rotational speed. In some aspects, the third rotational speed is controlled via a direction and a magnitude of the second rotational speed relative to the first rotational speed.

摘要： A system and method for providing power to a vehicle is disclosed. The system can include a plurality of parallel module converter modules (“modules”) each capable of supplying a predetermined electrical load. The plurality of parallel module converter modules can be networked to form a parallel module converter (“converter”) for prioritizing and allocating each electrical load to one or more parallel module converter modules. Each module can include an internal protection controller and a logic controller. The individual modules can provide power to various loads in the vehicle either alone, or in concert with other modules. The system can enable fewer power controllers to be used, saving weight and time. The controllers in the system can also be utilized at a higher level reducing unnecessary redundancy.

The electric motors are connected to a DC power supply by a parallel modular converter that includes a plurality of parallel power converters that convert the DC power to AC power. The parallel modular converter selectively connects different parallel power converters to different ones of the electric motors to provide an adequate supply of electrical power to meet the load conditions of the electric motor. As the load conditions of the electric motors dynamically change, the parallel modular converter can selectively connect certain PPCs to different motors to satisfy the changing load conditions.

摘要： A method is disclosed for controlling power distribution from a plurality of inverters to one or more loads. The method comprises determining, using one or more computer processors, a plurality of possible combinations of the plurality of inverters to meet load demands corresponding to the one or more loads. Each possible combination of the plurality of possible combinations includes a respective set of one or more inverters of the plurality of inverters. The method further comprises accessing, from a memory coupled with the one or more computer processors, one or more predefined efficiency functions associated with the one or more inverters; selecting, based on the one or more predefined efficiency functions, a combination from the plurality of possible combinations; and transmitting control signals to the set of one or more inverters corresponding to the selected combination to thereby power the one or more loads.

In one aspect, the EMI filter network includes electrical switches that establish different configurations or arrangements of passive circuit elements (e.g., inductors and capacitors) where each configuration generates a different filter value. The EMI filter network may be communicatively coupled to a controller which changes the configuration of the EMI filter network using the switches in response to the dynamic load changing operational states. For example, each configuration of the EMI filter network may correspond to one of the operational states of the dynamic load. Thus, as the operational state of the dynamic load changes—e.g., different motors become operational—the controller alters the configuration of the EMI filter network to provide a filter value that corresponds to the current operational state of the dynamic load.

The current balancing system comprises a plurality of power inverters, each power inverter included within a respective current loop and configured to generate a corresponding current amount. The current balancing system further comprises a plurality of inverter controllers, each inverter controller associated with a respective one of the plurality of power inverters and configured to receive a reference frame-transformed amount of the corresponding current amount. Each inverter controller is capable of independently controlling the corresponding current amount provided to a load.
