    • A password input system includes a touch screen, a storing module, and an authentication module. The touch screen is capable of displaying a number of symbols, and is used for inputting a password by drawing a line group between the symbols on the touch screen, the line group includes one or more lines. The storing module stores a password consisting of characteristics of a preset line group. The authentication module is capable of comparing the characteristics of the line group drawn on the touch screen with the characteristics of the preset line group stored in the storing module, and allowing or denying a user's access to a main system by judging whether the characteristics of the line group drawn on the touch screen is matched with the characteristics of the preset line group stored in the storing module.

    • A touch screen region selecting method implemented by a central processing unit (CPU), wherein the touch screen senses and recognizes tracks of two line-drawing touches simultaneously performed thereon. The method comprises: receiving the two line-drawing touches and displaying two lines via the CPU, identifying start points and terminal points of the two lines via the CPU, connecting the start point and the terminal point of each line to generate a first line and a second line respectively via the CPU, connecting the start points of the two lines to generate a third line, and connecting the terminal points of the two lines to generate a fourth line via the CPU, identifying a region framed by the first line, the second line, the third line, and the fourth line, obtaining displayed contents, and performing an operation for the displayed contents via the CPU.

    • A data transferring system includes a reading unit, a display unit, a selecting unit, an orientation sensing unit, an analyzing unit and a transferring unit. The reading unit is configured for reading contents. The display unit is configured for displaying the read contents to allow selection of contents. The selecting unit is configured for selecting contents in response to user inputs. The orientation sensing unit is configured for sensing the orientation of the electronic device. The analyzing unit is configured for determining whether the electronic device is higher than the storage device based upon the sensed orientation. The transferring unit is configured for transferring selected contents from the electronic device to the storage device if the electronic device is higher than the storage device and transferring selected contents from the storage device to the electronic device if the electronic device is lower than the storage device.

    • A battery cover mechanism used in a portable electronic device includes a housing, a battery cover and an operating member. The housing has a first surface, a receiving groove defined therefrom for receiving a battery and an elastic arm disposed thereon adjacent to the receiving groove. The battery cover is detachably mounted on the housing to cover the receiving groove and defines a notch therethrough. The operating assembly comprises a pedestal and an operating member. The pedestal is fixedly mounted on the battery cover and releasably resisted by the elastic arm. The operating member is rotatably assembled with the pedestal and accommodated within the corresponding notch of the battery cover so as to make the elastic arm release the pedestal to detach the battery cover from the housing.
