    • A device which supplies breathing gas mixed with an additive gas to a patient for pulmonary diagnosis or pulmonary treatment includes a gas mixing unit through which a relatively large flow of breathing gas is achieved from a first gas source through a first pressure regulator and a second pressure regulator. The breathing gas passes through a connecting tube from which the patient can breathe spontaneously through an inspiration tube, thereby inhaling air from the connecting tube. Expired gas passes via an expiration tube to the connecting tube. Additive gas is supplied from a separate gas source via a second pressure regulator and a second flow regulator. The additive gas is supplied in a flow which is considerably smaller than the flow of breathing gas, permitting a very small but accurate concentration of the additive gas to be achieved in the breathing gas. The large flow prevents a reactive additive gas from reacting before being supplied to the patient.

    • Radio channel resources are allocated in a radio communications system based on whether a requested data communication requested is associated with a symmetric service or an asymmetric service. If the data communication is associated with a symmetric service, a symmetric connection between the mobile radio station and the radio network is established for communicating data packets associated with the data communication. Radio channel resources are assigned to the symmetric connection for transporting the data packets between the mobile radio station and the radio network. The symmetric connection is assigned substantially the same amount of radio channel resources in an uplink direction as in a downlink direction. In one example, the symmetric data communication is a voice over IP (VoIP) communication. One example environment is a GPRS/EDGE type system where the radio channel resources are time slots and the symmetric connection includes an uplink temporary block flow (TBF) and a downlink TBF.

    • A method is provided for controlling a drive arrangement in a watercraft. The method includes detecting thrust and steering commands from an operating device which is connected to a control unit, and controlling the drive arrangement based on detected commands from the operating device for obtaining a desired course of travel of the watercraft, wherein a force is generated which acts towards a defined position on the watercraft. The method furthermore includes determining the speed of the watercraft and adapting the position on which the force from the drive arrangement acts as a function of at least the speed and as a function of the influence of the position of the center of pressure of the watercraft, thereby maintaining the desired course of travel. An arrangement for controlling a drive arrangement in a watercraft is also provided.
