摘要： A display data processing device for processing bar code data displayed on a display screen such as a television monitor by an interlaced scanning process includes a photosensor for reading bar code data displayed on the screen, a counter circuit for counting the coded data bits read by the photosensor means to determine whether the data is displayed by an odd-number field or an even-number field and which produces a signal corresponding to the result of the determination. This signal is used in conjunction with a plurality of timer circuits which provide signals corresponding to the duration of odd and even number field scanning periods to ensure accurate storing of data in a shift register which is provided with the output signals of the photosensor.

The assembly includes an integrated circuit element having a plurality of positioning apertures at the periphery thereof and a circuit board (preferably, a flexible circuit film) having a plurality of terminals to be electrically connected to the respective terminals of the integrated circuit element and also having a plurality of positioning apertures. The assembly further includes an upper casing and a lower casing one of which has a plurality of positioning projections to be received within the positioning apertures in the circuit element and a plurality of positioning projections to be received within the positioning apertures in the circuit board, for determining relative position of the integrated circuit element and the circuit board with respect to the casing. Preferably, the integrated circuit element has a plurality of signal terminals extending from one side and one or more power terminals extending from a second side thereof and in a direction different from that of the signal terminals, with the latter in direct contact with battery terminals when the assembly is completed. The package of the integrated circuit element may be of a polygonal configuration including a pentagon or more and the whole of the integrated circuit element including the power terminals shaped substantially into a rectangle.

The combination calculator and timepiece consists of a calculator unit and timepiece unit, said calculator unit operating arithmetic function in response to key input means provided on the calculator unit and said timepiece unit functioning for horological operation and chronometrical operation etc. A display unit is included within the calculator unit for indicating arithmetic computation and another display is included within the timepiece unit for indicating time information derived from the timepiece unit.
