    • An apparatus and a method adapted for shielding and removing fine particles for a portable camera module generated during a portable camera module fabricating process. The portable camera module includes an image sensor and an infrared ray filter. The apparatus includes a tape attaching device for attaching a surface protective tape on a surface of the infrared ray filter so as to prevent fine particles from being attached to the surface of the infrared ray filter, and a tape detaching device movably installed above the surface protective tape in order to detach the surface protective tape having fine particles shielded from the surface of the infrared ray filter. The fine particles are attached to the surface protective tape, which remains shielding the surface of the infrared ray filter during the holder attaching, primary heat treatment, secondary heat treatment, and under filling processes are subsequently carried out. The tape detaching device is moved downward to attach to the surface of the protective tape using vacuum, and is moved upwardly to separate the surface protective tape from the surface of the infrared ray filter, while the vacuum is still being applied.

    • A burner used for fabricating an optical fiber perform is disclosed. The burner includes a burner housing, a first body formed with a plurality of spraying ports, and a second body aligned in a length direction of the first body. At least a part of the first body is accommodated in the burner housing. At least a part of the second body is accommodated in the burner housing. An oxidizing agent is fed into the second body along an outer peripheral surface of the second body and a fuel is fed into the second body along an inner peripheral surface of the first body. The oxidizing agent is uniformly mixed with the fuel in the first body and a mixture thereof is exhausted to an exterior through the spraying ports. The fuel and the oxidizing agent are separately fed into the burner and mixed with each other in the burner, thereby preventing the backfire phenomenon. Since the mixture of the fuel and the oxidizing agent is sprayed to the exterior after the fuel has been sufficiently mixed with the oxidizing agent in the burner, it is possible to obtain the perfect combustion for the mixing gas.

    • A vapor axial deposition apparatus for creating an optical fiber perform includes a starting rod axially fixed at one end to a chuck that rotates and moves vertically. A rod cap fixed to the other end of the starting rod is a rotary body with a downwardly facing end portion in axial alignment with the starting rod, and can be configured it various shapes. One heater underneath the rod cap, which receives fuel and raw material, shoots flames up at the rod cap to create a core while another heater, similarly supplied, laterally shoots flames at an outer circumference of the rod cap to create a cladding. A deposited core/cladding ratio is adjusted according to shapes of the rod cap, and finely adjusted by controlling fuel and raw material, the distance between the heaters and the angling of the heaters.
