In the case where an MS supporting a different antenna transmission diversity scheme enters the service area of a 4-antenna transmission diversity UTRAN, the UTRAN can transmit pilot signals and common data signals to the MS without the need of modifications to the MS. 摘要： In a mobile communication system, if a UE enters a SHO (Soft Handover) region, the UE determines weight information for a DPCH and a PDSCH depending on DPCH signals and PDSCH signals received from Node Bs, and transmits the determined weight information to the Node Bs. The Node Bs then determine weights of the DPCH signals and the PDSCH signals to be transmitted to the UE depending on the feedback information received from the UE, and transmit the determined weights to the UE along with the DPCH signals and the PDSCH signals, respectively.

Transmission frames each have a plurality of time slots, and each of the time slots includes two data parts having the same length, a midamble intervening between the data parts, and a guard period for dividing the consecutive time slots. The transmission apparatus modulates the frames into a radio signal with a modulation signal and transmits the modulated radio signal using a plurality of antennas. A power amplifier amplifies the radio signal. A controller generates a switching control signal in a guard period of time slots of a frame associated with the radio signal amplified by the power amplifier. A switch switches the amplified radio signal from the power amplifier between a first and a second antenna in response to the switching control signal.

摘要： Disclosed is a mobile station for determining a data rate for a packet data service in a mobile communication system including a base station, and the mobile station being provided with a voice service and a packet data service from the base station. 摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting packet data through at least two transmit antennas in a packet data communication system using transmit antenna diversity. In the packet transmitting apparatus, a feedback information interpreter interprets feedback information including CQIs and antenna weights received from a plurality of UEs requesting a packet data service. A weight generator classifies the antenna weights and selects UEs having orthogonal weights. A transmitter applies the selected weights to packet data destined for the selected UEs and transmits the packet data to the selected UEs simultaneously.
