    • A system on chip (SoC) including a configurable image processing pipeline is provided. The SoC includes a bus; a first image processing module configured to be connected to the bus and to process image data; a first image processing stage configured to transmit either first image data or second image data received from the bus to at least one of the bus and the first image processing module through a first bypass path in response to first control signals; and a second image processing stage configured to transmit either third image data received from the first image processing module or fourth image data received from the bus to the bus through one of a second bypass path and a second scaler path in response to second control signals.

    • According to the disclosed motor, since the motor includes a rotor in which a plurality of core pieces and magnets are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction, magnetic flux of the magnets is prevented from flowing between the core pieces neighbored with each other in the circumferential direction and the leakage of the magnetic flux can be minimized. Since identical polarities of the magnets neighbored with each other in the circumferential direction face each other, the magnetic flux can be concentrated to the respective core pieces. Moreover, since the axial direction of the circumference of the core facing the stator in the circumferential direction is longer than the axial direction of other portions thereof, torque is increased and manufacturing costs are reduced.

    • A washing machine, with an inner tub designed to be linearly reciprocable along its vertical axis in addition to being rotatable on the vertical axis during the washing or rinsing process, is disclosed. In the washing machine, a washing tub is suspended within a cabinet forming the profile of the washing machine and having an openable cover at its top end. The washing tub consists of an outer tub suspended within the cabinet and containing water therein, and a perforated inner tub set within the outer tub. This inner tub contains laundries therein, and washes or rinses the laundries during the washing or rinsing process. A drive unit is mounted to the bottom of the outer tub, and rotates and vertically reciprocates the inner tub within a predetermined stroke. The washing machine of this invention thus forms vertical moving currents of water in addition to active swirling currents of water within the inner tub, and prevents laundries from being twisted during the washing or rinsing process. The washing machine is also improved in its rinsing and detergent dissolving performance, and is improved in its overall laundering effect.

    • A zoom tracking apparatus and method in a video camera. An offset adjustment is achieved by deriving applied voltage of the zoom position sensor only by use of data relating to positions of the zoom lens respectively associated with several optional points and corresponding positions of the focusing lens involving focusing while shifting the zoom lens in one direction. The offset adjustment is, thereby, achieved rapidly and accurately, and an accurate focus upon zoom tracking is obtained. The minimum quantity of trace data is stored in the internal ROM of the control circuit, while a trace tracking of the focusing lens associated with the shift of the zoom lens is achieved in a region where an error may occur possibly upon detecting the position of the zoom lens by use of a focusing evaluation value, thereby capable of achieving the trace tracking accurately.

    • A power brush assembly for vacuum cleaners is disclosed. In the power brush assembly, a casing is set in the suction part of a vacuum cleaner and defines a suction nozzle used for sucking dust-laden air under pressure into the suction part of the vacuum cleaner. A power brush is set within the casing such that the brush is rotatable and reciprocable to the left and right. This power brush is used for brushing dust and impurities on a target surface. A drive motor generates a rotating force for allowing the power brush to rotate and reciprocate to the left and right within the casing. A power transmission mechanism connects the drive motor to the power brush so as to transmit the rotating force of the drive motor to the power brush. In this power brush assembly, the brush body of the power brush performs a linear reciprocating action in addition to a rotating action, and so the brush assembly effectively and actively brushes a target surface at areas corresponding to the gaps between opposite ends of the brush body and opposite sidewalls of the casing. This brush assembly thus improves the dust cleaning effect of a vacuum cleaner.
