    • A method, system and article of manufacture, including software, that encourages purchases of products or services and identifies measurable loyalty of an individual to a product or service, or in particular how often an individual purchases a product or service during a period of time in response to electronic media, such as a Web advertisement. The method includes providing an electronic media, such as a web banner, paid search results or e-mail to an individual that selects the electronic media and inputs individual information to a server, promotional processing device or Web site. In an embodiment, a software component to identify the individual, such as a cookie, is downloaded to an individual's processing device. In an alternate embodiment, a user identification number generated during a user session is used to identify the individual. A token, such as a first unique code associated with the individual information, is then provided to the individual's account at the server. The individual obtains a second or more tokens from one or more purchases of products at an offline and/or online retailer. The second or more tokens are then input, at the individual's processing device that transfers the information to the server, and in particular the individual's account. An object, such as downloadable music, a gift certificate, incentive, digitally downloadable asset or book, is then provided to the individual in response to the individual obtaining the required number of tokens by purchasing offline products or services.

    • A method and system, including software, encourages trial experiences of products and/or services at specified physical locations by an individual after the individual selects an electronic media, such as a Web advertisement. In an alternate embodiment, a method and system, including software, encourages an individual to purchase a product or service that may be new to the market or recently launched and when the use of unique codes included in packaging may not be used. The method includes providing an electronic media, such as a Web banner, paid search results or e-mail to an individual that selects the electronic media and inputs individual information to a server, promotional processing device or Web site. A first object is provided and there is an opportunity to obtain a second object after an individual selects the electronic media. After the individual performs an off-line action, such as test driving a vehicle, meeting with a financial consultant or viewing a selected video, a token (code) is provided to the individual. A second object then may be obtained by the individual after the code is entered and verified by a Web site. An object may include a discount on a purchase, an entry to a sweepstake, a gift certificate, a prize and/or a rebate. The prize may include downloadable music or a book. In an alternate embodiment, a second object may be obtained after an individual purchases a product or service and then verifies the purchase, by for example, answering questions at a Web site regarding the purchase.
