摘要： Polymeric compositions and methods of making and using such compositions are provided. The compositions incorporate at least one component that is a polymer including propylene-derived units and at least one component that is a styrenic block copolymer. The polymeric compositions are found to have desirable elastomeric properties while at the same time exhibiting beneficial processability characteristics. The unique combination of processability and performance attributes result in the polymeric compositions useful in a variety of applications such as films, fibers, woven and non-woven fabrics, sheets, molded objects, extruded forms, thermoformed objects, and all products made from such application materials.

摘要： This invention relates to a film comprising a heterogeneous blend of: 1) from 60 to 99 wt % of one or more semi-crystalline polymers; and 2) from 1 to 40 wt % of one or more semi-amorphous polymers; where the blend has: an MFR of 0.5 to 100 dg/min, a haze of 20% or less, and a permanent set of greater than 65%; and where the film is 2.5 to 635 microns thick and has: a haze of 10% or less, a 1° Secant tensile modulus of 100,000 to 30,000 psi, an Elmendorf tear in the machine direction and transverse direction of 45 g/mil or more, a total energy impact of 3 J or more; and a 45 degree gloss of 82 or more.

摘要： Blends of at least two polymers incorporating propylene-derived units and processes for producing such blends are provided. The first polymer of the blend is a low crystallinity polymer including propylene-derived units. The second polymer is a high crystallinity polymer including propylene-derived units. The polymer blends exhibit the beneficial performance characteristics of low crystallinity propylene polymers while minimizing certain processing and handling problems associated with low crystallinity propylene polymers. Low crystallinity propylene polymer pellets often exhibit a tendency to agglomerate because of the softness of such particles. Agglomeration of the pellets creates problems in handling and processing the particles. The polymer blends disclosed reduce the tendency of polymer pellets to agglomerate while maintaining the desirable physical properties, such as elastomeric properties, exhibited by low crystallinity propylene polymers. Various processes for producing the polymer blends are also provided.
