    • Systems, methods, and software for identifying dormant wireless communication devices in wireless communication systems are provided herein. In one example, a method of operating a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes providing wireless access to communication services to wireless communication devices, where the wireless communication devices are associated with at least a first paging zone. The method also includes instructing the wireless communication devices associated with the first paging zone to associate with a temporary paging zone identifier and responsively receiving indications of the temporary paging zone identifier transferred by at least a portion of the wireless communication devices. The method also includes identifying dormant ones of the wireless communication devices based on which of the ones of the wireless communication devices transfer the indications, and instructing the wireless communication devices associated with the temporary paging zone identifier to resume association with the first paging zone.

    • In a wireless communication system, a first wireless communication network exchanges data with wireless communication devices that are in active-mode on the first wireless communication network. The first network generates active-mode event records characterizing the data exchanges. A second wireless communication network receives registration messages from the wireless communication devices that are in idle-mode on the second wireless communication network. The second network generates corresponding idle-mode event records characterizing the idle-mode registrations. A data processing system integrates the active-mode event records and the idle-mode event records into integrated communication data records that correlate the active-mode events and the idle-mode events by their corresponding event times.

    • Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for determining whether a wireless device has departed a femtocell. In a particular embodiment, a method provides determining one or more wireless devices that are registered with a wireless femtocell and are not currently exchanging communications with the wireless femtocell. If a control signal from at least one wireless base station is available, the method provides receiving the control signal and processing the control signal to determine whether a portion of the wireless devices are registered with the at least one wireless base station. The method further provides indicating that the portion of the wireless devices registered with the at least one wireless base station are no longer registered with the wireless femtocell.
