摘要： A method of processing a call to an unregistered user in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)-General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) using a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is provided. The method of connecting a call to a mobile node present in a GPRS area includes registering location information of the mobile node to be invited in a Home Subscriber Server (HSS); when the mobile node uses a Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP), allocating an Internet Protocol (IP) address to the mobile node and authenticating the mobile node through MIP registration and setting a SIP session; and when the mobile node uses a simple IP, allocating an IP address to the mobile node and authenticating the mobile node through a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) procedure and setting a SIP session.

摘要： Provided is a method for communication between access points (APs) and for a user agent (UA)'s selecting an AP and establishing a connection by which in establishing a connection between a wireless LAN AP providing a wireless LAN service and the UA in a public wireless LAN service utilizing a wireless LAN technology, a maximum efficiency of the AP a maximum performance of the UA can be obtained. According to the method, the number of user agents connected to a current AP and the amount of traffic being currently processed are compared with the maximum capacity of a neighboring AP and the number of user agents connected to and being serviced by the neighboring AP, to recommend an optimum AP to the user agent. By doing so, the user agent is allowed to comprehensively review information on the number of user agents connected to an adjacent AP and the amount of traffic being processed by the AP as well as reception sensitivity, and then to select an optimum AP.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method of changing a frequency assignment (FA) status in an improved broadband wireless access system where terminals and base stations communicate with each other by using a plurality of FAs. The base station changes the status of one of secondary FA into the status of the pFA in order to adjust a load of the primary FA, and communicates with the terminal through the pFA of which status is changed. When a response is received from the terminal, the base station changes the status of the pFA and communicates with the pFA of the terminal through a new pFA. The status of a previous pFA between the base station and the terminal is changed into the status of the sFA, and a previous sFA is changed into the pFA, so that communication is performed through new FAs.
