摘要： Aspects of the present disclosure provide an image processing device that includes circuitry configured to perform a decoding process on an encoded stream for generating an image. The encoded stream is arranged into largest coding units (LCUs), and filtering parameters applicable to each LCU are provided at a beginning portion of the corresponding LCU. The circuitry is further configured to perform adaptive offset filtering on portions of the image that correspond to the LCUs using the filtering parameters set at the beginning portions of the LCUs, respectively.

摘要： A decoding method decodes a bit stream in an image decoding apparatus. The method includes receiving a weight parameter that is added to a luma quantization parameter as the bit stream. The method also includes decoding, in a decoding unit in the image decoding apparatus, the bit stream, and generating a luma component of quantized coefficients and a chroma component of quantized coefficients. Further, the method includes performing, in a dequantization unit in the image decoding apparatus, dequantization on the luma component of quantized coefficients using the luma quantization parameter and the chroma component of quantized coefficients using a chroma quantization parameter calculated on the basis of the luma quantization parameter weighted by an add operation of the weight parameter. In addition, the method includes performing, in a transform unit in the image decoding apparatus, an inverse orthogonal transform.

摘要： The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus and method that can generate a high-accuracy prediction image with a small amount of control information.A motion compensation circuit 51 specifies a macroblock corresponding to a prediction image in a reference frame other than a current frame using a motion vector supplied from a prediction mode determination circuit 41. The motion compensation circuit 51 reads an image of the specified macroblock from a frame memory 19, and extracts the read image as a motion compensation image. An intra-prediction circuit 52 performs intra-prediction on the current frame using an arbitrary method to generate an intra-prediction image IP. The present invention can be applied to, for example, an encoding apparatus and a decoding apparatus.

摘要： The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus and method that can improve encoding efficiency while preventing an increase in load.An extraction circuit 71 of a filtering prediction circuit 64 extracts motion compensation images for generating a prediction image in a high-resolution enhancement layer from reference frames in a low-resolution base layer. A filtering circuit 72 of the filtering prediction circuit 64 performs filtering, which involves upconversion and which uses analysis in the time direction, on a plurality of motion compensation images in the base layer extracted by the extraction circuit 71 to generate a prediction image in the enhancement layer. The present invention can be applied to, for example, an encoding apparatus and a decoding apparatus.

摘要： An image processing method includes decoding encoded image data to generate a decoded image signal including a luma signal and a chroma signal. The method further includes detecting a condition that a reference field has a different parity from a current field and that the number of chroma pixels is vertically different from the number of luma pixels. The method further includes shifting a phase of the chroma signal in the reference field in a vertical plus direction according a value of a motion vector in a vertical direction under the detected condition so that the reference field will coincide in phase of the chroma signal with a current field. The method also includes performing a motion compensation of the decoded image signal using the reference field.
