摘要： Provided is a method and apparatus for image intraprediction encoding/decoding. The method for image intraprediction encoding includes an intraprediction unit which divides an input block into at least one first sub-block of a predetermined size, and performing intraprediction encoding on the at least one first sub-block according to a first sub-block processing order using pixel values of at least adjacent sub-blocks located to the right of and/or below the at least one first sub-block.

摘要： A method and apparatus for video encoding/decoding are provided to improve compression efficiency by generating a prediction block using an intra-inter hybrid predictor. A video encoding method includes dividing an input video into a plurality of blocks, forming a first predictor for an edge region of a current block to be encoded among the divided blocks through intraprediction, forming a second predictor for the remaining region of the current block through interprediction, and forming a prediction block of the current block by combining the first predictor and the second predictor.

摘要： A rate control method used in encoding images is provided, including setting initial values for rate control and encoding; calculating a target encoding bit value based on the set initial values; performing rate control and encoding of a current bit stream based on the calculated target encoding bit value; measuring the picture quality of the current encoded bit stream, determining whether or not to skip the current encoded bit stream based on the measured picture quality, and generating a current encoded bit stream skip control signal; and controlling skipping of the current encoded bit stream, based on the current bit stream skip control signal provided by a picture quality measuring and skip control signal generating unit. In the method, a bit rate is controlled by considering the picture quality of an encoded bit stream such that a constant bit rate and appropriate picture quality can be maintained simultaneously.

The image compression method includes dividing each of the pictures into predetermined slices, determining a prediction mode having higher efficiency and a coding order for each of corresponding slices of the pictures by performing prediction on the corresponding slices, and coding each of the slices in the determined prediction mode according to the determined order of coding. The pictures are coded through cross-reference between them.

摘要： A method and apparatus for video encoding/decoding provides a macroblock used as a unit of video division and encoding formed in various sizes, positions, and shapes to improve compression efficiency according to video characteristics. The video encoding method, divides a video into macroblocks while moving macroblocks in each row and/or each column by a predetermined-size pixel and each of the macroblocks is encoded. A video may also be divided into macroblocks at a position spaced apart from a corner of the video by a predetermined offset and each of the macroblocks is encoded. Encoding may also be performed on each sub-block and sub-blocks having the same prediction mode may be grouped into a macroblock having another form.

The color image decoding method includes: transforming chrominance components of a color image in each of two or more inter-prediction modes, calculating costs for the conversion values in each of the two or more inter-prediction modes using a predetermined cost function, selecting one of the two or more inter-prediction modes based on the calculation result, and outputting conversion values of the selected inter-prediction mode; entropy encoding the output conversion values.
