摘要： A method for one-piece injection molding of a soft needle catheter having a hub and a tube-shaped flexible part. According to the method, a molten polymer is fed into a mold which includes a core that is used to form the interior of the catheter, the core defining a hub cavity and a tube-shaped cavity. The hub cavity includes a cone-shaped part and a cylindrical part, with the cone-shaped part extending into the tube-shaped cavity. When the polymer is sufficiently cured, the core is removed from the catheter and the catheter is removed from the mold.

摘要： The invention concerns an insertion device for inserting a medical device into the subcutaneous or intramuscular area of a patient. More specifically, this invention relates to an insertion device comprising pivoting and guiding means for moving a penetrating member from a position, where the penetrating member is not pointing into the direction of insertion, to a position, where the penetrating member is pointing into the direction of insertion. The inserter device comprises a housing (15) encompassing a penetrating member (9), said housing comprising a top section (14) and a lower section (16), wherein said insertion device (1) comprises pivoting means (27, 31, 41, 43) and guiding means (10, 19, 16s, 31s, 18s) providing one or more pivoting movement(s) of the penetrating member (9) from a first position, where the penetrating member (9) is not pointing into the direction of insertion, to a second position, where the penetrating member (9) is aligned with the direction of insertion, to a third position, where the penetrating member (9) protrudes the housing (15) and the penetrating member (9) is aligned in the direction of insertion. The guiding means (10, 19, 16s, 31s, 18s) are adapted to provide a longitudinal movement of the penetrating member (9) from the second to the third position.

摘要： The present invention relates to a packing for an infusion set. The infusion set for intermittent or continuous administration of a therapeutic substance, such as insulin, includes an infusion part having a cannula penetrating the skin of a patient and a connector which connects the infusion part with a medical device such as an adaptor for a syringe or an insulin pump. The insertion of the infusion part will be performed with an insertion needle which is delivered together with the infusion part under sterile conditions. The packaging includes an impenetrable part protecting the surroundings from the insertion needle and a removal part which is to be removed by the user before applying the infusion part. The inner surface of the impenetrable part is provided with a retainer for releasable retaining at least a part of the infusion set.
