摘要： The invention relates to picture color tone control for a printing press, and it is an object of the invention to make it possible to confirm a color shade before printing is performed thereby to prevent failure in printing and suppress incidence of paper loss. A device profile of a printing press to be used for printing is acquired, and a device profile of a simulation printing tool is acquired and plate making data is acquired. Then, the device profile of the printing press is used to convert tone value data k, c, m, y of the plate making data into color coordinates (L*a*b*), and color coordinates (L*a*b*) obtained by conversion using the device profile of the simulation printing too are outputted with densities according to densities R, G, B from the simulation printing tool. Then, it is decided whether or not the color shade of the output is within a permissible range. Plate making and picture color tone control of the printing press are performed based on a result of the decision.

The printing simulation system includes a display controlling apparatus for simulation-displaying the picture of a result where a picture obtained from the picture data to be printed is printed under a printing condition obtained from printing condition data on a monitor screen. A displaying mode which is a displaying mode where a plurality of printing conditions are applied and in which results where one picture is divided into a plurality of regions and printing is carried out in the divided regions under individual printing conditions are simulation-displayed is provided as a simulation-displaying mode by the display controlling apparatus. In the printing simulation system, comparison between specific portions of pictures can be carried out more easily in a system wherein the pictures of results where a picture is printed under different printing conditions are simulation-displayed for comparison on the monitor to evaluate the color tone.

摘要： The present invention relates to a color value estimation method and apparatus for a printing press which make it possible to estimate a color value with high accuracy taking ink print-through of a sheet-formed printed matter which is printed on the opposite faces. A one-face side picture data and the other face side picture data to be printed on a printing sheet are acquired, and a basic print-through color value from the other face side to the one-face side is calculated from the other face side picture data using a correlation relationship with a basic color value where one-face side with respect to the other face side picture data is blank. Then, the basic print-through color value is corrected based on the degree of the basic color value to the other face side picture data and the one-face side picture data corresponding to the other face side picture data to calculate a print-through color value. Further, a one-face side basic color value where the other face side of the printing sheet is blank is calculated from the one-face side picture data using the correlation relationship with the basic color value where the one-face side with respect to the other face side picture data is blank. Then, a one-face side color value, which includes a value by ink print-through, to be detected by a calorimeter is estimated from the calculated print-through color value and one-face side basic color value.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a printing control method and a printing controller which are capable of performing high-quality printing in a short period of time, and which are capable of reducing human error. To achieve this end, the printing control method is used to control a printing system, which is equipped with a server to store printing data which contains platemaking data and related information, a printing machine equipped with a plurality of printing presses, a terminal unit for acquiring the printing image data and outputting command information to the printing machine, detectors for detecting a state of a printed page, and controllers for controlling the printing presses based on the printing data and detection information. In a pre-printing step, the operating conditions of the printing machine are loaded from the server, a supply of ink is preset based on the printing data, one of a plurality of sets of data for selection is selected as printing data, platemaking data is displayed on a display unit, and the state of arrival of the platemaking plate data to the terminal unit and the data that arrived are confirmed. In a printing step, feedback control employing the detection information is performed based on the data sent from the terminal unit.
