    • A washing apparatus of a screw for extruder including a casing, support rollers installed in the casing so as to support a screw rotatably, a drive motor for rotating the screw, a water jet assembly having a nozzle and nozzle rotation section, a nozzle inclination motor to incline the water jet assembly relative to the axis direction of the screw. A nozzle hole of the water jet assembly is inclined to face one way relative to the axis of the screw placed on support roller assemblies. The nozzle is rotated eccentrically about the nozzle hole and moved from one end to the other of the screw, changing the nozzle hole direction to the other way relative to the screw at the other end of the screw. The screw is rotated so that an unwashed part of the screw faces the nozzle and is washed. This cycle is repeated until the entire surface of the screw is rotated.

    • A process is disclosed for producing powdery polycarbonate from a polycarbonate solution which comprises:(a) charging the solution into the feed opening of a disolvating apparatus, the apparatus being composed of a casing and having at least two screws incorporated therein, the screws meshing with each other; the apparatus comprising two parts; a evaporating zone and a powdering zone; a space being provided above the screws in the evaporating zone, the space extending in the axial direction of the screws and having at least one degassing opening, and side and bottom portions of screws generally fitting with the casing in the evaporating zone; top, side and bottom portions of screws generally fitting with the casing in the powdering zone, heating means being installed in the casing and/or screws;(b) in the evaporating zone, evaporating the solvent of the polycarbonate solution using the heating means while moving the solution by the screws;(c) powdering the dried polycarbonate in the powdering zone; and(d) discharging the powdery polycarbonate from the product exit in the powdering zone.

    • An apparatus comprising a resin plasticizing injection machine having an injection nozzle, a branch portion connected to the injection nozzle and having a plurality of outlet ports, molds and mold clamping devices both arranged around the branch portion in corresponding relation to the outlet ports, and an extension nozzle for maintaining each of the outlet ports in communication with each of the molds. Pressure control means is provided at an intermediate portion of the extension nozzle for maintaining the mold cavity at a specified pressure after resin has been injected into the mold. Means is provided for closing a flow channel extending from the injection machine to the pressure control means. After resin has been injected into a mold, the cavity of the mold can be maintained at the specified pressure by the pressure control means in place of the injection machine, so that the injection machine and the next mold can be subsequently brought into operation. Preferably resin is injected into one mold after another in succession in such a manner that the first mold is prepared for the injection of resin again before the injection machine is made ready for the injection into the first mold after completing the injection of resin into all the molds. The flow channel closing means comprises a shutoff valve mounted on each of the extension nozzles. The branch portion may comprise a branch valve for selectively opening or closing the flow channel.
