摘要： A spindle motor comprises a rotary sleeve; a rotor hub which is integrally rotated with the rotary sleeve; a stationary sleeve; and a stationary support extending upwardly from the stationary part, the rotary sleeve being fitted onto the outer peripheral surface of the stationary support, and radial and thrust hydrodynamic bearings being provided on the relative sliding surfaces of both rotary sleeve and stationary support. A pair of annular grooves which partially overlap each other in the axial direction are peripherally provided on the rotary sleeve and stationary support, thereby providing a labyrinth chamber to suppress the outflow of the lubricant.

A low-resolution reference image generating unit performs, in the event of encoding a color image of a viewpoint B having lower resolution than the resolution of a color image of a viewpoint A, different from the viewpoint A, resolution reduction processing to reduce resolution on the image of the viewpoint A so that the resolution of the color image of the viewpoint A agrees with the resolution of the color image of the viewpoint B. An inter prediction unit generates a prediction image of the color image of the viewpoint B with reference to the color image of the viewpoint A after resolution reduction processing. A computing unit and so forth encode the color image of the viewpoint B using the prediction image. The present technology may be applied to a 3D-image encoding device, for example.

An encoding device generates a prediction image of the image to be encoded, by performing disparity compensation with the packed image as the image to be encoded or a reference image, and encodes the image to be encoded in the predetermined encoding mode, using the prediction image. The present technology can be applied to encoding and decoding of images of multiple viewpoints, for example.
