摘要： An image processing apparatus including: a first storage portion that stores patterns used for matching with edge portions of a linear image included in an input image, the patterns having respective different sizes, and each of the patterns being composed of pixels and including a target pixel corresponding to a pixel to be deleted in the linear image; a selection portion that selects a pattern having a size according to a line width of a line thinning process to the linear image, from the stored patterns; a pattern detection portion that matches the selected pattern with the linear image while shifting the selected pattern, and detects whether the selected pattern is matched with the linear image; and a deletion portion that, when the matching result is detected, deletes the pixel in the linear image corresponding to the target pixel in the selected pattern.

The image processing apparatus according to the invention includes a first conversion component which converts a predetermined first color component value in a color space applied by the drawing information into a second color component value in a different color space while being corrected by the color correction information, a decision component which determines whether the second color component value is a value falling within a predetermined range or not, and a second conversion component which performs conversion of color components used in image drawing based on the drawing information into a single color corresponding to the range.

摘要： An image-formation control apparatus is connected to an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a medium with a plurality of color materials. The image-formation control apparatus includes a receiving unit and a first calibration unit. The receiving unit receives an image formation command, which is to be executed by the image forming apparatus. The first calibration unit generates a first formation command to form a first number of color patches for adjusting output characteristics of the color materials in the image forming apparatus and outputs the generated first formation command to the image forming apparatus. The first calibration unit calculates an estimated consumption amount of each color material used in the image forming apparatus on a basis of the received image formation command and determines colors of the color patches formed on a patch sheet on a basis of the estimated consumption amount.

The setting unit sets a gloss level of an image to be formed by forming plural toner images using a transparent toner and plural color toners having different colors and by fixing the plural toner images onto a recording medium in such a manner that the plural toner images are placed on top of one another on the recording medium. The correcting unit corrects image data defining density values per pixel of the toner images formed using the plural color toners of the respective colors so that a total density value that is a sum of a density value per pixel of the toner image formed using the transparent toner and density values per pixel of the toner images formed using the plural color toners of the respective colors may not exceed a predetermined threshold.

The adjustment section performs adjustment of a black amount for an input image signal including a plurality of color signals. The adjustment section outputs an output image signal including a plurality of color signals that contain black whose amount is adjusted. The edge enhancement section performs an edge enhancement process for the output image signal output from the adjustment section. The reception section receives setting of an edge enhancement degree used in the edge enhancement section.
