摘要： A system and method are provided for play of a game of chance wherein players in a primary game collect credit or value for losing primary game tickets. A plurality of physical locations are designated as authorized communication-enabled locations and are configured with a transmitter device that broadcasts an ID signal unique to the location or a receiver that receives an ID signal unique to a particular player. The identity and location of the locations is published to the players. The players are provided with capability to receive the unique ID signals emitted by the transmitter devices within the locations on a mobile smart device, or to broadcast the ID signal unique to the player for receipt by the receiver in locations. A game server automatically identifies the player and the particular location upon receipt of a transmission that includes the ID signal unique to the location or the ID signal unique to the player. The game server generates a personalized message to the player with instructions as to how the player can take action at the location to have the value assigned to a losing game ticket credited to a player's account.

摘要： A method is provided wherein players are automatically detected at a physical location and invited by an electronic component within the location to play a game of chance or perform other game related activities. The players have the capability to receive unique ID signals emitted by a transmitter device within the locations on a mobile smart device, or to broadcast an ID signal unique to the player for receipt by a receiver in the locations. When the player is at a first distance from the transmitter device or the receiver in the location, a game server generates a first personalized message to the player that invites the player to move to a game console within the location. When the player is at a second distance from the transmitter device or the receiver indicating the player has moved towards the game console, the game server generates a second personalized message instructing the player how to play a game or perform other game-related activities at the game console.

Authorized communication-enabled locations are configured with a transmitter device that broadcasts an ID signal unique to the location or a receiver that receives an ID signal unique to a particular player. The players are provided with capability to receive the unique ID signals emitted by the transmitter devices, or to broadcast the ID signal unique to the player for receipt by the receiver in the locations. A game server receives a transmission that includes at least part of one of the ID unique signals, thereby identifying all of the players and their respective communication-enabled location. The game server randomly selects contestants for a game show from all of the players in the communication-enabled locations. A personalized message is provided to the players in the communication-enabled locations informing them of the game show and whether they were randomly selected to compete in the game show.

In one embodiment, the players are provided an application for download to a mobile smart device, the application enabling recognition and receipt by the device of the unique ID signals emitted by the transmitter devices. A game server is in secure communication with one or both of the player's mobile smart device or a functional component within the communication-enabled location, the game server identifying the player and the particular communication-enabled location upon receipt of a transmission that includes at least part of the unique ID signal. Receipt of the transmission by the server functions to verify that the player is within the communication-enabled location, and the server automatically credits to the player satisfaction of a requirement for entry into the second chance game.

摘要： A lottery second chance game program method is provided for a single lottery jurisdiction or across multiple participating lottery jurisdictions. The lottery jurisdictions are networked to a lottery server system. One or more production runs of primary game tickets are provide to each lottery jurisdiction, with each production run of game tickets having a total face value. For each of the production runs of game tickets, a percentage of the total face value is contributed by the lottery jurisdiction to fund prize awards in a plurality of second chance games that are common to all of the lottery jurisdictions. The plurality of second chance games are provided to all eligible players in all of the lottery jurisdictions by entry of a unique identifier from one or more losing primary game tickets into a central server system. The lottery jurisdictions thus fund the plurality of second chance games as a function of the total face value of game ticket production runs sold to players within their respective jurisdiction.
