摘要： A metadata transmitter synchronized with multimedia contents comprises: a multimedia contents authoring unit for generating and editing multimedia contents; a multimedia contents format converter for compressing the multimedia contents, converting them into a transmission format, and outputting them; a metadata authoring unit for generating and editing metadata for describing the multimedia contents, the metadata including transmission types and transmission information; a metadata format converter for converting the metadata into binary codes, converting the converted metadata into a synchronization format for synchronization with the multimedia contents and a transmission format, and outputting them; and a multiplexer for multiplexing the multimedia contents format and the metadata format respectively output from the multimedia contents format converter and the metadata format converter into a stream, and outputting it.

摘要： Multimedia content is provided continuously for multiple users each potentially moving to a different place while enjoying it together. The system includes a network for transmitting preferably IP-format data, a first device for outputting particular multimedia content received through the network, and a second device for outputting a second multimedia content prepared for, and received upon requesting, continuous provision of the particular multimedia content through the network. A contents server delivers the particular multimedia content and the second multimedia output to the first and second devices, respectively. The second multimedia content consists of the part of the particular multimedia content remaining to be transmitted at the point of time at which the second device requested the continuous provision of the particular multimedia content.

摘要： Disclosed are a contents encryption method, and a system and method for providing contents through a network using the contents encryption method. In order to provide contents through the network more securely, at least one piece of contents and corresponding metadata are recursively multi-encrypted at least once, and encrypted data are then provided. In particular, encrypted positions of the contents and corresponding decryption information are expressed as metadata, and the metadata include parameter information on respective encryption tools used for multi-encryption, an order of the applied encryption tools, positions of the encryption tools, and a list of encryption tool substitutes. The metadata are provided when the contents are provided. Therefore, the contents provider and receiver can more safely and systematically manage the metadata including contents decryption information, and multimedia are efficiently protected, managed, and controlled.
