    • A swing hinge apparatus of a portable terminal is provided. In the portable terminal, a pair of housings is rotatably assembled while facing each other. The swing hinge apparatus includes a lower casing mounted and fixed to a first housing from among the pair of housings, a cam member mounted and fixed to a second housing from among the pair of housings and rotatably received in the lower casing, a guide groove formed on the lower casing and extending along a circumference, and a guide protrusion formed on a first surface of the cam member and moving along the guide groove according to rotation of the cam member, wherein both ends of the guide protrusion have inclined outer walls, both ends of the guide groove have inclined inner walls, and the guide protrusion is engaged with one of the inclined inner walls of the both ends of the guide groove, so as to limit a range of rotation of the cam member.

    • This disclosure relates to an automatic transmission, and more particularly, to an automatic transmission which alleviates a gear shifting shock generated during a forward/reverse gear shifting operation by controlling a clutch actuator to operate a clutch and interrupting a transmission of power generated from an engine during the forward/reverse gear shifting operation of a vehicle. Provided is an automatic transmission for changing a direction of rotation power generated from an engine so as to change a vehicle moving direction, the automatic transmission including: a first gear which changes the direction of the rotation power generated from the engine to a vehicle forward direction; a second gear which changes the direction of the rotation power generated from the engine to a vehicle reverse direction; a forward/reverse lever which inputs a start signal for changing the direction of the rotation power generated from the engine; a clutch actuator which drives a clutch for selectively interrupting a transmission of the power generated from the engine; a forward/reverse actuator which rotates a rotation shaft extending from the forward/reverse lever; a synchromesh which changes its position so as to mesh with the first or second gear in accordance with a driving operation of the forward/reverse actuator; and a controller which generates a control signal for driving the clutch actuator upon receiving the start signal from the forward/reverse lever and controls the driving operation of the forward/reverse actuator.

    • A method and apparatus, such as a pico service gateway, for reducing backhaul traffic in a broadband wireless access system are provided. The pico service gateway operatively receives an uplink packet including a contents request from a Mobile Station (MS). Upon receipt of the contents request, the pico service gateway determines whether the requested contents have been cached. If the pico service gateway determines that the contents have not been cached therein, the pico service gateway communicates with a corresponding server to receive the requested contents. Thereafter, the pico service gateway transmits the contents to the MS. Further, if the pico service gateway determines that the contents have not been cached, the pico service gateway caches the contents. In contrast, if the pico service gateway determines that the contents are cached therein, the pico service gateway transmits the contents corresponding to the requested contents.

    • An apparatus and a method for encoding/decoding video data are disclosed. In one embodiment, the decoding apparatus includes: i) a toolbox unit configured to store a plurality of functional units, ii) a separation unit configured to receive a decoder description and separate the decoder description into schema information and connection control information and output the schema information and the connection control information. The decoding apparatus may further include iii) a parser configured to parse and output input bitstream by using the schema information, iv) a decoder forming unit configured to load and connect pertinent functional units from the toolbox unit based on the connection control information and to form a reconfigured decoder; and v) a decoding solution configured to decode the bitstream outputted from the parser by using the reconfigured decoder. At least one embodiment can reconfigure a decoder in various form by using the decoder description.
