According to an exemplary embodiment, the liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel including a display area and a non-display area enclosing the display area; a light guide plate disposed under the liquid crystal display panel and having a polygonal plane shape including a first side, a second side, a third side, and a fourth side; and a light source adjacent to the first side of the light guide plate, wherein at least one of the second side, the third side, and the fourth side of the light guide plate overlaps the display area.

In one aspect, the reflection sheet includes a bottom surface, a plurality of side surfaces, each extending from the bottom surface and having an edge opposing the bottom surface, and a first cutting line formed in at least a first one of the side surfaces from a boundary between the first side surface and the bottom surface toward the opposing edge of the first side surface. The reflection sheet also includes a cover surface extending from the opposing edge of the first side surface, wherein the cover surface comprises a protruding surface protruding toward the first cutting line.
