摘要： A developing device includes a developing roller; a housing that retains the developing roller such that the developing roller has exposed and unexposed portions, end portions of the housing having first faces curved along the unexposed portion and second faces facing inward; a layer-thickness regulating member having an edge near the developing roller; a first magnet including a first magnetic pole that attracts the developer and a second magnetic pole located downstream of the first magnetic pole and upstream of the exposed portion in a rotational direction of the developing roller, the second magnetic pole having a magnetic force of about 60 mT or less; second magnets retained on the first faces; and magnetic plates retained on the second faces and arranged such that developer chains formed thereon at the downstream ends in the rotational direction extend to positions upstream of the edge of the layer-thickness regulating member.

摘要： A developer container is provided with a container body. An opening is formed through the container body. An opening/closing lid closes the opening. A lid holding frame holds the opening/closing lid in such a manner that the opening/closing lid can move between an open position and a closed position. A stopper stops the opening/closing lid and thereby preventing it from moving toward the open position in a state that the opening/closing lid is located at the closed position. A contact portion comes into contact with a hook portion provided in a container receiving portion when the developer container is inserted into the container receiving portion. A deformable portion deforms the stopper to such an extent that the stopping of the opening/closing lid by the stopper is canceled when the developer container is inserted into the container receiving portion and the contact portion comes into contact with the hook portion.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes plural toner image forming devices. Each of which has a rotating photoconductor, a charging device that uniformly charges a surface of the photoconductor, a latent image forming device that forms an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the charged photoconductor, a developing device that develops the electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photoconductor to a toner image, and a developing container that contains toner used by the developing device. A diameter of the photoconductor of at least one toner image forming device is formed larger than a diameter of the photoconductor of the other toner image forming devices. Each developing container of all the toner image forming devices is formed in equal-sized, and a center of rotation of a developing roll of each developing device is arranged in a position upper than a center of rotation of each photoconductor.
