    • A safety supporting body includes: a supporting body main body that is disposed inside a vertical stanchion groove of a car frame; and an engaging portion that protrudes outward from the supporting body main body, and that is hooked onto an upper end portion of a vertical stanchion. The safety supporting body is fixed to the vertical stanchion by a supporting body fixing apparatus. The supporting body fixing apparatus includes: a first fixing bolt that applies pressure between a side surface of the vertical stanchion groove and the supporting body main body; and a second fixing bolt that applies pressure between the engaging portion and a guiding apparatus mounting base that is fixed to the car frame. A safety device main body that applies a braking force to the car by placing a braking member in contact with the guide rail is disposed on the safety supporting body.

    • In an elevator counterweight device, a frame body includes a first stile, a second stile, a crosshead provided between upper portions of the stiles, and a plank provided between lower portions of the stiles. On both sides of the frame body in a width direction thereof, a plurality of guide devices are provided. Each of the crosshead and the plank is coupled to the first stile and the second stile so as to be pivotable. Each of the guide devices is displaceable in the width direction of the frame body and a thickness direction of the frame body relative to the frame body, and is pivotable about an axis parallel to a vertical direction of the frame body as a center.

    • A safety device main body that is inserted inside a lower frame of a car frame includes a braking member. A guiding apparatus includes a guide shoe that is displaceable inside the safety device main body between a guided position that is guided by a guide rail and a retracted position that is removed from the guided position. The guide shoe is disposed in the guided position when the braking member is separated from the guide rail. An actuating apparatus displaces the guide shoe toward the retracted position while displacing the braking member in a direction of contact with the guide rail. The safety device main body, the guiding apparatus, and the actuating apparatus are supported together by a supporting body. The supporting body is mounted onto the lower frame from below using a mounting aperture that is previously disposed on the lower frame.

    • Provided is an elevator renovation method, which is capable of reducing a renovation period and enabling effective use of a space when an existing hydraulic elevator is renovated to a non-hydraulic elevator. The elevator renovation method involves renovating a hydraulic elevator in which a plunger (3) provided integrally with a car (1) is hydraulically driven to a non-hydraulic elevator. The elevator renovation method includes; providing a driving device for generating a driving force for raising the car; leaving the plunger so that the plunger can be raised and lowered inside an existing jack (4); and obtaining the non-hydraulic elevator by exerting the driving force of the driving device in a direction in which the plunger is moved up to raise the car.
