THE OPPOSITELY DISPOSED WELDING DIES ARE MOVED TOWA*D ONE ANOTHER FOR PRESSING THE OPPOSITE WALLS OF THE TUBE TOGETHER BY TWO SPACED PARALLEL CRANK SHAFTS ON THE CRANK PINS OF WHICH ARE ARRANGED HUBS TO WHICH THE WELDING DIES ARE FIXEDLY ATTACHED. THE WELDING DIES ARE POSITIVELY GUIDED TO PERFORM BERTICAL MOVEMENTS TOWARD AND AWAY FROM THE TUBE AND HAVE FLAT WELDING

SURFACES ENGAGING THE TUBE OVER A DEFINE AREA TO FORM A STRIP-LIKE WELDING SEAM. AT LEAST ONE OF THE PARALLEL CRANK SHAFTS IS ADJUSTABLE TO VARY THE TRANSVERSE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE SAME, AND THE WELDING DIES ARE SO CONTROLLED THAT IN ADDITION TO THEIR MOVEMENT TOWARD AND AWAY FROM EACH OTHER THEY PERFORM ALSO A TRANSLATORY CIRCULAR MOVEMENT IN VERTICAL PLANES SO THAT WHEN THE WELDING DIES ENGAGE THE TUBE THEY MOVE WITH THE SAME LENGTHWISE A DEFINITE DISTANCE.

摘要： The invention provides a method and a machine for packing similar articles into tubular wrappings in which a foil band is continuously fed into and drawn through a folding box which produces at the same time from a single band of foil two lengthwise adhering parallel tubes into which the articles are introduced while the double tube is being formed. A single transverse seam forming device produces transverse seams simultaneously in both parallel tubes between the articles therein. A cutting device separates the two parallel tubes from each other by cutting along a center seam formed by the longitudinally sealed overlapping edges of the foil band. Finally, the two longitudinally separated tubes are simultaneously transversely cut along the center of their transverse seams.

摘要： A device for making bags is provided with an upright forming tube over which a tubular structure made of flexible sealable sheet material is moved downwardly step-by-step to be provided at its lower end, when projecting freely from the forming tube with a bottom by means of bottom seam dies during an interval the forming tube is moved upwardly while the tubular structure is clamped against movement. Subsequently, a double gripper seizes folded margins of the bottom and pulls the tubular structure downwardly and then the bag so formed is severed from the tubular structure.

摘要： The invention relates to article packaging machines and particularly to a device for connecting oppositely disposed wall portions of a lengthwise moving flexible tube containing rather high articles in axially spaced relation by transverse welding seams which are produced by continuously moving welding dies between each article in the tube. In addition to these welding dies the device is provided with two symmetric gusset folders which enter transversely into the space between the dies and the adjacent ends of the spaced articles during the time interval at which the dies press the oppositely disposed wall portions together for engaging the tube material and folding it smoothly against the end faces of the articles during the continuous lengthwise movement of the tube; in fact, the gusset folders do not only move transversely back and forth at right angles to the tube, but also move lengthwise with the tube.
