摘要： A system that identifies multiple electronic tags includes a plurality of electronic tags attachable to a single object, each electronic tag having a non-overlapping readable region, and each electronic tag having a unique identifier. One or more electronic tag readers are configured to read the unique identifier of each electronic tag within the non-overlapping readable region. A computing system is connected to the electronic tag reader to provide digital services in response to reading the unique identifier of each electronic tag. In certain embodiments, the electronic tags can have integral sensor systems that detect, for example, light, location, acceleration, or other physical properties, allowing provision of particular digital services related to the sensed properties.

摘要： An electronic tag has a processor, a readable memory for holding an identification number connected to the processor, and an antenna connected to the processor for radiofrequency broadcasting of the identification number. A power supply powers the antenna to broadcast the identification number.A user selectively controls operation or non-operation of the electronic tag by switching an interconnect switch on or off. The interconnect switch permits interconnects the processor, readable memory, antenna, and power supply to selectively allow radiofrequency broadcasting of the identification number. Bitwise communication to a tag reader using only a passive electronic tag is possible.

摘要： Method and apparatus for exchanging packets between networks using switches and without using routers for routing the packets to the destination. The method includes assembling a logically addressed packet for transmission on a network. Furthermore, the method includes determining whether an address map of a host assembling the logically addressed packet includes a physical address of a destination. Moreover, the method includes encapsulating the logically addressed packet in the physical address of the destination to form an encapsulated logically addressed packet, when the physical address of the destination for the logically addressed packet is included in the address map of the host. Further, the method includes assessing whether the physical address of the destination indicates that the destination is part of the same network as the host, when the address map of the host does not include the physical address of the destination. In addition, the method includes broadcasting an address request for the physical address of the destination, when the address map of the host does not include the physical address of the destination; and receiving a response to the broadcasted address request, wherein the response provides the physical address of the destination, and wherein said receiving step is performed when the address map of the host assembling the logically addressed packet does not include the physical address of the destination.
