摘要： An information handling system (IHS) is provided which is controlled by a remote control that sends commands to a receiver in the IHS. The IHS has the ability to recover from a loss of power that occurs when the IHS has entered a reduced power state. After power loss and power return to the IHS, the IHS will still respond to a power on resume command from the remote control. The IHS is configured such that when power is returned to the IHS, a sufficient portion of the IHS is powered so that the receiver is enabled to receive a power on or resume command from the remote control and the IHS can act on that command.

摘要： The invention is directed towards a method and system for optically-based monitoring of chemicals of potential concern (COPCs), including mercury (Hg), methyl mercury (MeHg), and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). It employs a multi-parameter statistical analysis model, such as partial least square regression (PLS regression), to identify combinations of predictors (e.g., optical, water quality, and physical properties) that have large covariance with the response values. The predictive model is validated against analytic samples from laboratories. The steps in the method are repeated until predictors, or parameters are selected that avoid over-fitting and which yield physically-based results.

The main body member may be placed into the top of a bucket that contains water. A load of dirt, containing rocks, minerals, gemstones, and the like, may be loaded into the main body member so that the water at least partially covers the load, and an operator may agitate the particulate within the water, so that the particulate small enough to fall through the holes in the main body member may fall through, while the larger particulate remains within the main body member. Additionally, a series of trays having a mesh bottom may be inserted into the main body member, to catch and separate smaller particulate.
