摘要： Method and apparatus for managing user access to database(s), thereby reducing the time-consuming, repetitive tasks a database administrator must perform to grant user access to one or more databases. Embodiments of the invention also facilitate a database administrator in granting multiple user access of different types to multiple databases. Furthermore, embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for tracking grants of user access for multiple databases. One embodiment provides a method for managing user access to one or more databases, comprising: receiving an access request for one or more users requesting access to one or more databases; retrieving server information for the one or more databases; adding the one or more users to a user group for the database; and generating an access document for each user.

摘要： In a first aspect, a method is provided for transferring data. The method includes the steps of (1) receiving information about a location and type of a data source and a location and type of a data destination associated with a first data transfer from the data source to the data destination; (2) receiving information relating data in the data source to data in the data destination; (3) creating a data structure that defines a relationship between the data source and the data destination based on the received information; and (4) employing the data structure for the first data transfer. The data structure is adapted to transfer data from a single table in the data source to multiple tables in the data destination and transfer data from multiple tables in the data source to a single table in the data destination. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Defects uncovered during software testing may be stored in a data structure as data defects, code defects, or environment defects, along with further data describing a particular nature of the defects. The defects may be analyzed to determine a particular problem area causing the defects. If a particular class of defects is determined to be the dominant class of defects encountered during testing, an analysis path of that class of defects may be followed to determine a cause for the defects in the respective class. Therefore, corrective measures tailored to resolving the defects associated with the determined cause may be taken.
