摘要： A variable area nozzle assembly includes a fixed structure surrounding an exhaust duct extending along a nozzle axis. The fixed structure defines an exhaust duct outlet of the exhaust duct. The fixed structure includes a first side beam and a second side beam. Each of the first side beam and the second side beam extend in a direction axially aft from the exhaust duct outlet. Each of an upper thrust reverser door and a lower thrust reverser door are pivotably mounted to the first side beam and the second side beam at a first axial position. An upper panel and a lower panel are pivotably mounted to the upper thrust reverser door and the lower thrust reverser door, respectively, at a second axial position located axially forward of the first axial position. The upper panel and the lower panel define a nozzle outlet cross-sectional area therebetween.

摘要： A variable area nozzle assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a nozzle disposed about a nozzle centerline and a fixed ring radially surrounding the nozzle. The nozzle includes a radially outer surface and a radially inner surface. The radially inner surface defines an outlet cross-sectional area of the nozzle. The nozzle is movable relative to the nozzle centerline between a first position of the radially inner surface defining a maximum area of the outlet cross-sectional area and a second position of the radially inner surface defining a minimum area of the outlet cross-sectional area. With the nozzle in the first position, the radially outer surface contacts the fixed ring. With the nozzle in the second position, the radially outer surface is spaced from the fixed ring.

摘要： An assembly is provided for an aircraft propulsion system with an axial centerline. This assembly includes a nacelle structure and a thrust reverser system. The nacelle structure includes a fan cowl, where a forward cavity extends axially into the nacelle structure from an aft end of the fan cowl. The thrust reverser system includes a sleeve, a cascade structure, a blocker door and a linkage. The sleeve is configured to translate axially along the centerline and relative to the nacelle structure between a forward stowed position and an aft deployed position. The cascade structure, the blocker door and the linkage are at least partially within the forward cavity when the sleeve is in the forward stowed position. The cascade structure is fixedly attached to the sleeve. The linkage extends between and is pivotally attached to the cascade structure and the blocker door.
