The wall has at least one of (a) a mirrored surface which is capable of producing a discernible, reflective image of an object placed at the first side of the wall, and (b) a blocking surface which substantially obstructs viewing of an object at the second side of the wall through the wall from the first side of the wall. The message system further includes a message generator capable of making a message viewable from the first side of the wall through at least a part of the wall.

摘要： A security system for confining movement of an object to a predetermined area. The security system has a cable, with a length, and a housing. The housing is guidable slidingly along the length of the cable and capable of being fixed at a plurality of different locations spaced along the length of the cable. The cable has a first portion that can be fixed relative to the housing. With the first portion fixed relative to the housing, the cable defines a loop with an effective diameter that is variable by sliding the housing along the length of the cable. The cable has a second portion that can be secured to a support relative to which an object is to be confined by the securing system.

摘要： A retractable sensor assembly for use with an alarm system to prevent theft of valuable products while eliminating the problem of entangled and unsightly sensor cords is disclosed. The retractable sensor allows the user to grasp the product and pull it to a comfortable position. The invention consists of a housing, a retraction means contained in the housing, a sensor having two states, 1) secured when attached to the product and 2) unsecured when detached from the product, a multiconductor cable having a first end connected to the sensor, cooperating with the retraction means and a second end extending out of the housing, where the retraction means urges the sensor to the housing, yet allows the sensor to be pulled from the housing when an external force is exerted on the sensor, while maintaining a continuous electrical path from the first, sensor end of the cable to the second end of the cable.

摘要： The combination of a portable device and a security system. The security system has a first holding portion and a second holding portion spaced from the first holding portion. The first and second holding portions are movable relative to each other to selectively change a spacing distance between the first and second holding portions. The first and second holding portions captively engage the portable device with the first and second holding portions in an engaged state and are movable relative to each other from the engaged state to a release state. A setting mechanism can be selectively placed in a secured state and an unsecured state. The setting mechanism in the secured state causes the first and second holding portions to be maintained relative to each other in the engaged state. The setting mechanism in the unsecured state allows the first and second holding elements to be moved relative to each other from the engaged state into the release state. An access assembly has first and second states. In the first state, the access assembly permits the setting mechanism to be changed from the secured state into the unsecured state. The access assembly in the second state prevents the setting mechanism from being changed from the secured state into the unsecured state.
