摘要： A computer-controlled machine for printing business documents, such as, checks, check vouchers, check registers and other forms used in quantity. Paper stock of varying dimensions, color or other characteristics is loaded into individual hoppers or trays in a paper input module. Under computer control, predetermined numbers of sheets are extracted from the plural hoppers in a prescribed sequence and transported, in proper alignment, to a first printing station where alpha/numeric characters are printed on the paper sheets by means of a non-impact xerographic printer in accordance with preprogrammed instructions. Next, the partially completed documents are serially transported, again in proper alignment, to a further printing station where MICR characters are impressed on the sheets using a drum and hammer-type printer, again with format, spacing and positioning controlled by a preprogrammed microcomputer system. The thus prepared sheets are then deposited in an output hopper or, alternatively, are presented to a finishing station for binding.

摘要： A menu driven reprogrammable drug pump is provided with a memory, such as flash memory, a display, a keyboard, and a communications port to allow a generic pump to be programmed with a desired pump application (therapy) program and patient specific settings. Programming and data transfer with another pump or a computer to and from the patient pump is by the communications port that allows local and/or remote communications with the pump. Flash memory stores the pump application program during use. Patient safety is provided by a cassette identification system, an occlusion detection system, and a latch/lock detection system. Automated testing of the pump is by a closed loop testing system.

摘要： A portable electrical energy power node is provided. The power node includes first and second input power terminals and first and second output power terminals. The input power terminals are adapted for receiving a source of electrical power and the output terminals are adopted for connecting to a load. A first power line connects the first input terminal to the first output terminal, a second power line connects the second input terminal to the input side of a circuit interrupter and a third power line connects the output side of the circuit interrupter to the second output terminal. The circuit interrupter selectively interrupts the connection between the second input terminal and the second output terminal in accordance with a fault sensor and a control unit.

摘要： A method and apparatus for monitoring and controlling electrical energy consumption in an electrical circuit is provided. The monitoring device includes a sensor coupled to the electrical circuit for producing an electrical fault signal when a fault is detected in the circuit, a signal processing unit coupled to the fault sensor for improving the signal to noise ratio of the fault signal, a fault trigger condition register for storing at least one response action to be taken by the monitoring device when the fault condition is detected and a central processing unit (CPU) coupled to the signal processing unit and to the fault trigger condition register. In response to the fault signal, the CPU causes the monitoring device to take a response action.

摘要： The present invention relates to systems and methods for operating ambulatory medical devices, such as drug delivery devices. The pump includes the pump control system for activating a pumping mechanism wherein the pump control system includes a processor, a flash memory electrically interconnected to the processor for storing pump operation information, and a communications port electrically interconnected to the flash memory to permit transfer of the pump information into the flash memory from outside the pump. Communication with the pump can be through a computer system located locally or remotely with respect to the pump. The flash memory is utilized to initially program the pump electronically, or to reprogram the pump to change operation of the pump.
