    • A single-piece piston body for an internal combustion engine includes a crown portion having a circumferential ring belt including an oil ring groove configured to accommodate an oil control ring and a skirt portion having a first skirt wall disposed on the major thrust side and a second skirt wall disposed on the minor thrust side of the piston, and two box walls that connect the skirt walls and which are set back with respect to the ring belt. A first plurality and a second plurality of axial drain passages extend from the oil ring groove to the bottom of the crown portion, the first and second pluralities of axial drain passages being substantially centered at opposite box sides of the piston and each plurality of axial drain passages spanning an arcuate portion of about 45-75 degrees.

    • A system for preparing mail for submission to a postal service is described, the system comprising: a mail finishing system of the mailer for generating items of mail for inclusion in a submission of mail by the mailer to the postal service; an announcement system of the mailer for analyzing the items of mail generated by the mail finishing system and generating an electronic statement based on the composition and value of the items of mail in the submission and transmitting the electronic statement to the postal service via an electronic link therewith; and a secure accounting system of the mailer connected to the mail finishing system and to the announcement system for generating accounting data relating to the items of mail in the submission. In a preferred embodiment, the electronic link between the announcement system of the mailer and the postal service may be established via the internet. A corresponding method of exchanging information between a mailer and a postal service is also described.

    • A control framework allows a presenter to change the executable order of the graphical presentation either dynamically or using a scripted order without an understanding of the underlying presentation framework. A data file created by the presenter external to the graphical presentation associates a unique identifier with each frame in the graphical presentation. Identifiers may be arranged in groups to logically associate frames for presentation together. Input commands from the presenter may be used to dynamically jump between prior and next frames in a group or between groups of frames. The control framework may also smoothly transition the position of actors between arbitrary frames in the overall presentation.
