摘要： A multi-layer of thin film for application to a transparent substrate such as glass provides excellent visible light transmission while controlling both near infra-red solar energy and far infra-red reflected energy. The film comprises a layer of sputtered zinc, tin, or bismuth oxide, a layer of sputtered silver or silver alloy, a layer of sputtered titanium or stainless steel and a final layer of zinc, tin, or bismuth oxide. The product exhibits a nominal visible light transmittance of 55% and a reflectance less than about 15% for incident light on the substrate (glass) side at visible light wavelengths and reflectance less than about 6% for incident light on the film side in the visible wavelengths. Emissivity is less than 0.15. A method of fabricating the product is also disclosed.

摘要： An insulating glass unit. The insulating glass unit includes at least two substantially parallel, spaced sheets of glass. The at least two sheets of glass are sealed together at their peripheral edges to define an insulating chamber. A light redirecting device is positioned within the insulating chamber. The light redirecting device includes a base member including a front face and a back face, a plurality of slats extending from the front face, and a plurality of openings formed in and extending through the base member. The openings are positioned relative to the slats such that light received by the slats is reflected therefrom and through the openings.

摘要： A low emissivity, low shading coefficient, low reflectance window consisting of two panes of glass. The first pane having a low wave infrared reflecting and a visible light and short wave infrared absorbing section of coatings on its inside surface. A second pane spaced about one half inch from the inside surface of the first pane to protect the coatings on the first pane and to insulate the room form the heat generated on the light and heat absorbing coating of the first pane. The infrared reflecting section consisting of four layers of metals and metal oxides. The first layer of metal oxides selected from the group consisting of tin oxide, zinc oxide and a combination of zinc and tin oxide. The second layer is silver. The third layer consisting of a metal selected from the group consisting of aluminum, titanium, zinc and tin. The fourth layer selected from the same group as the first layer. The visible light and short wave infrared absorbing section consists of a coating of titanium nitride.
