    • A process for producing a thermal barrier coating, in which organometal complexes of zirconium and at least one stabilizing element selected from the group of the alkaline earth metals or rare earths are provided as starting substances, the starting substances are evaporated by heating and the coating gases that are generated in this manner are transported to a component to be coated, which is heated at a deposition temperature, where they are broken down so that a layer is deposited, in which process, in order to produce a thermal barrier coating with a columnar structure and a sufficient layer thickness, the starting substances are heated, at a process pressure of 0.5 to 50 mbar, to at most 250° C. so that the coating gases are formed, and the coating gases are transported to the component to be coated, the surface of which is heated at a deposition temperature of between 300° C. and 1100° C.

    • A hydrodynamic brake has a rotor blade wheel and a stator blade wheel with oblique blades and which together form a toroidal work chamber. A series of quick blades are mounted on the stator blade wheel for controlling the flow of braking fluid between the blade wheels and thereby the degree of braking action. Each of said blades is mounted for rotation around a radial axis and can be swung uniformly by means of a common actuating device. In this basic position, the guide blades are parallel to the stationary blades to provide the maximum flow of braking fluid. In a "zero position" the blades are all in a plane normal to the axis of rotation of the brake, whereby they substantially block the flow of braking fluid within the work chamber. In order to control the braking action, the guide blades may be brought into any desired intermediate position.

    • Coverings suitable for a steering wheel of a motor vehicle are inserted into at least two approximately horizontally oriented spokes connected with a steering wheel ring adjacent to the steering wheel ring. The coverings are constructed for the accommodation of switches. On one side, each covering leads away from the steering wheel ring and, on the other side, each covering adjoins a trim plate of the steering wheel. In order to provided the steering wheel with an advantageous design, the coverings are constructed as modules which, depending on the equipment of the motor vehicle, have function areas provided with areas without switches and/or with switches.
