摘要： Method of arranging a cellular radio network in a geographical area which is already covered by an existing cellular radio network, wherein cell clusters of the cellular radio network to be introduced and using a specific transmission frequency are located in areas determined by connecting at least two cells of the existing cellular radio network using the specific transmission frequency, and wherein the cell clusters are arranged such that they do not overlap with the cells of the existing cellular radio network. The cell clusters of the introduced cellular radio network may be adjusted by reducing the cell size of cell clusters of the introduced cellular radio network, and by introducing new cells into cell clusters of the introduced cellular radio network. The invention allows to reuse frequencies of an existing cellular radio network by an introduced cellular radio network in the same geographical area.

摘要： A communication system that supports multiple modulation and channel coding schemes selects an optimum RF link by measuring link quality parameters, such as C/I ratio. All of the available RF links are characterized based on the measured link quality parameters by calculating mean values and variances of the parameters. Based on the characterization of the RF link, user quality values, such as user data throughput and speech quality values, are estimated. The communication system selects the RF link that provides the best user quality value.

摘要： A multiple access digital transmission system including a transmitter for transmitting at least one modulated data stream, and at least one receiver for receiving, via a multipath transmission channel, a transmitted signal which includes the modulated data streams. The receiver includes a resolver for resolving at least one path for at least one multipath received modulated data stream and a channel estimator for estimating channel path delays in the received modulated data streams. The receiver includes a generator for generating an interference reduced signal from the received signal, the interference reduced signal being fed to the channel estimator.
