摘要： A change in impedance of a electromechanical resonating sensor is utilized to detect and/or measure a change in mass accumulated on the sensor. The impedance is monitored at a fixed frequency. The fixed frequency may be at or near the resonance frequency of the sensor. In various configurations, the sensor comprises a quartz crystal microbalance sensor or a piezoelectric cantilever sensor.

摘要： An asymmetric sensor having asymmetric electrodes and/or being asymmetrically anchored provides enhanced sensitivity. In example embodiments, part of the electrode on a sensor is etched or removed resulting in enhanced mass-change sensitive resonant modes. In another example embodiment, a sensor is anchored asymmetrically, also resulting in enhanced mass-change sensitive resonant modes. By asymmetrically anchoring a piezoelectric portion of a sensor, resonant bending modes of the sensor can be measured electrically without external instrumentation. Modifying the electrode of a piezoelectric cantilever enables expression of mass-change sensitive resonant modes that normally do not lend themselves to electrical measurement.

摘要： Cantilever Sensors made of piezoelectric material may be structured with various configurations of asymmetric anchors as well as asymmetric electrodes. Such asymmetry enables measurement of resonant properties of the cantilever that are otherwise unmeasurable electrically, resulting in significant advantages for ease of measurement. In addition the asymmetry enables expression of torsional and/or lateral modes that are otherwise absent, and these modes also exhibit excellent mass-change sensitivity. The asymmetries may enable resonant mode impedance-coupling.

摘要： A circuit has been developed that reduces the effective strength of a keeper circuit during an interval in which at least one path of an evaluation circuit is sensitive to a keeper device. The keeper circuit includes a keeper gating device coupled to a keeper device that is responsive to a keeper control. The keeper device is sized to overcome leakage current in the evaluation circuit. In some configurations, the keeper circuit includes a weak keeper device that is minimally sized to overcome noise while the keeper device is effectively disabled. In some configurations, the reduction in effective strength of the keeper circuit occurs before arrival of the fastest signal coupled to a sensitive output path of the evaluation circuit and the effective strength is restored after arrival of the slowest signal coupled to the sensitive output path of the evaluation circuit.

One embodiment of the invention includes converting source files, containing electronic schematic information, into output files. Creating, from the source files, export files that omit a sub-portion of the schematic information, defining omitted data, each of the export files having a file name associated therewith. Appending, to the file name of the export files, data concerning the omitted information to form an appended file name. The export files are converted to the output files retained in the appended file name. The appended name is diminished so as to remove all information therefrom, excepting information corresponding to the omitted information.
