摘要： A saw having a base assembly connected to a mounting portion, and a motor unit pivotally mounted on the mounting portion to allow the motor unit to perform chop cuts, has a pivotal locking mechanism for locking the motor unit in its lowest pivotal position. A table is mounted on the motor unit to enable the saw to act as a table saw. A table height adjustment mechanism is provided for adjusting the height of the table above the motor unit. The pivotal locking mechanism and table interact with each other to ensure that the table is in its highest position when motor unit is not locked in its lowest position.

The power tool also includes a rip guide which has a long guide edge and two attachment points to the shoe/base of the saw. The rip guide is attached to the base/shoe via a pair of L-shaped openings that accept L-shaped support arms of the rip guide. The rip guide can also be folded for compact storage. The power tool also includes dual bevel scales for quickly and easily setting the bevel angle on the power tool.

摘要： A compound miter saw includes a unique table assembly which incorporates a table locking mechanism and a detent override mechanism. The lock mechanism incorporated into the table assembly is movable between two positions. The first position locks the table to the miter saw and the second position permits rotation of the table. The detent override mechanism is normally engaged such that it will releasably hold the table in one of a plurality of popular miter angles. The detent override mechanism allows the operator to disengage the detent system to avoid the holding of the table during its rotation.

When pack 225 is inserted into receptacle 25, locater 77 biases pack 225 against a retractable abutment 85 spaced from locater 77 and into a proper location to mate with contacts 65, 66. When pack 213 is inserted into receptacle 25, receptacle contacts 47, 49 mate with pack terminals 24. When pack 213 is in receptacle 25, contacts 65, 66, pack locater 77 and abutmet 85 serve no function and are substantially retracted from receptacle 25 by engagement with pack sidewall 216. Thus, charger 11 is automatically adaptable for charging a plurality of battery pack designs in a simple and low cost manner.
