摘要： There is provided a mechanism for uplink transmission power control in a communication network. An uplink transmission power for a transmission from a communication network element to a communication network control element is calculated. When a transmission power control command from the communication network control element is received instructing an increase or a decrease of the uplink transmission power, it is checked whether the calculated uplink transmission power is above a maximum transmission power or below a minimum transmission power of the communication network element. If so, and the transmission power control command instructs a change in the opposite direction, power control adjustment is conducted by determining and conducting a correction for immediately compensating for a difference between the calculated uplink transmission power and the maximum/minimum transmission power, wherein an actual transmission power is set based on the correction parameter considering the received transmission power control command.

摘要： There are provided measures for cellular radio path measurement and reporting. Such measures may exemplarily include, by a terminal, initiating transmission of a beacon signal of the terminal towards base stations in a coverage area of which the terminal resides, and, by a base station, monitoring transmission of the beacon signal from the terminal, measuring characteristics of a radio path towards the terminal based on a received beacon signal from the terminal, determining a timing value of the received beacon signal from the terminal, and initiating storage of the measured characteristics and the determined timing value as data with respect to the terminal in a network-based database being common for base stations in a coverage area of which the terminal resides.
