    • An apparatus for ophthalmic laser surgery comprises a contact surface for formative bearing contact of an eye to be treated, components for providing focussed, pulsed treatment laser radiation and for directing the same through the contact surface onto the eye, a measuring device for measuring the position of the contact surface along the direction of propagation of the treatment laser radiation, the measuring device providing position data representing the measured position of the contact surface at least one location of the contact surface, and an electronic process and control unit, which is connected to the measuring device and which is adapted to control the focus position of the treatment laser radiation in dependence on the position data. By measuring the position of the contact surface, the laser-surgery apparatus provides for compensation of unavoidable manufacturing tolerances of a contact element forming the contact surface, and thereby provides for precise referencing of the front surface of the eye in relation to the laser-surgery apparatus.

    • A laser apparatus is controlled by a control program that operates to use laser radiation to generate an incision figure in the cornea of an eye, the incision figure including a an incision that bounds a corneal tissue volume. The control program operates to move the radiation focus in a radiation propogation direction successively in a plurality of superposed planes such that the radiation focus is moved without motion control in the propogation direction. The control program provides, for each plane, for a meandering scan path of the radiation focus that extends outside the tissue volume. The control program operates to allow through to the eye, in each plane, at least such radiation pulses that generate the first incision and to blank, in at least a fraction of the planes, at least a fraction of radiation pulses assigned to regions of the path that are at a distance from the incision.

The eye-surgical laser apparatus has optical components for providing pulsed focused laser radiation with radiation properties matched to the generation of photodisruptions in human eye tissue and a control unit for positional control of the radiation focus of the laser radiation. The control unit is designed for executing various control programs that represent various types of incision figures. Each interface device includes a contact body that is transparent to the laser radiation, with an abutment face for abutment against an eye to be treated, and a coupling portion for detachable coupling of the interface device onto a counter-coupling portion of the laser apparatus. The interface devices differ by virtue of a differing optical effect on the laser radiation provided in the laser apparatus.

    • There is proposed an apparatus for eye surgery, which comprises a stand (24) having a stand base (32) that is movable or realized for mounting on a wall or ceiling, and having a stand arm arrangement (34, 36) that is manually adjustable, at least partially, relative to the stand base, an operation microscope (38) being attached to the stand arm arrangement. Further, the eye-surgery apparatus comprises a laser appliance, which provides pulsed, focussed laser radiation having radiation properties suited to the application of incisions in the human eye (14). The laser appliance comprises a laser source (20) and a laser treatment head (26) that is attached to the stand arm arrangement (34, 36) and emits the laser radiation, a flexible transmission fibre (22) or a jointed beam transport arm being provided for the purpose of transporting the laser radiation to the laser treatment head. The laser treatment head (26) is positioned or positionable in an observation beam path of the operation microscope (38) and provides a passage (52) for an observation beam going along the observation beam path. According to one embodiment, the laser treatment head (26) can be moved out of a position of use, in which it is positioned over the eye (14) and under the operation microscope (38), into a non-use position, in which it is at a distance from the working region of the operating physician (40) and the latter, through the operation microscope (38), has a direct view of the eye (14) to be treated.
