    • A channel switching method, a channel switching device, and a channel switching system are provided. The method includes that: a network buffer apparatus determines whether a buffered video stream burst in unicast is synchronous with a channel video stream pushed by a network node to a client in multicast; notifies the client of sending a request for joining a multicast group, so as to implement fast channel switching; and dynamically adjusts the speed of pushing the video stream in unicast, so that the number of concurrent connections of the client and the channel switching efficiency are increased, and the deployment and operation cost of an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) system is decreased. In this case, the channel switching scheme achieves universality and expandability, and the level of user experience is improved.

    • A media stream processing method, a communication system, and a relevant device are disclosed, so as to improve the user experience. The method includes the following steps: a first media receiving device receives media streams, where the media streams include a first media stream and a second media stream; and the first media receiving device processes the first media stream quickly and plays the second media stream normally so that media play progress of the first media receiving device is synchronous with media play progress of the second media receiving device, where the second media receiving device is configured to receive multicast media streams, and the first media receiving device and the second media receiving device are in the same multicast group. A communication system and a relevant device are also disclosed herein. In this way, the user experience is improved.

    • A method, a network node, and a system for suppressing lost packet retransmission are provided. The method includes: generating retransmission suppression information, in which the retransmission suppression information includes identification information of data packets requiring retransmission suppression; and transmitting the retransmission suppression information to a receiving node, in which the retransmission suppression information is used to enable the receiving node not to request retransmission when data packets corresponding to the identification information in the retransmission suppression information are lost after the receiving node receives the retransmission suppression information. The network node includes a generating module and a transmitting module. The system includes an intermediate node and a receiving node.
