摘要： A hand-held pachymeter includes an ultrasonic probe capable of emitting ultrasonic pulses and capable of receiving echo signals of the ultrasonic pulses. The echo signals may include an echo signal from an anterior portion of a cornea of an eye and an echo signal from a posterior portion of the cornea. The hand-held pachymeter also includes a hand-held computing device and an expansion module that interfaces the probe to the hand-held computing device. The expansion module includes circuitry to produce digitized signals that correspond to the echo signals, and a memory which stores computer instructions to determine a thickness of the cornea based on the digitized signals. The computer instructions are executed by the hand-held computing device.

摘要： The separation tool allows separation of a horizontal pile of recipients into sub-piles of recipients, the first or last recipient of each sub-pile have been previously marked with ultra-violet detectable ink. The tool comprises a frame; a sensor mounted to the frame for detecting the last recipient of a current sub-pile or the first recipient of the next sub-pile upstream therefrom, which ever has been previously marked, and a manipulator arm provided with a fixed finger assembly for holding the recipients upstream from the last recipient of the current sub-pile and a separation finger for creating a gap between the held recipients and those from the current sub-pile.

摘要： The present invention relates to a gripping and transport clamp mounted at an end of a robotic arm. The clamp has a support member mounted at the end of the robotic arm and two lower pressing plates and one upper pressing plate mounted on the support member. A sensor is used to detect a reaction force being exerted on the first pressing plate upon displacement thereof. An actuator inserts the first lower pressing plate under the object to be gripped in response to a detection of the reaction force by the sensor. The second lower pressing plate under the first pressing plate moves between a retracted position and an extended position by means of an actuator mounted between the second lower pressing plate and the support member. It is also inserted under the object to be gripped. An actuator moves the upper pressing plate towards the object for gripping it between the plates. A controller receives detection signals from the sensor and operates the actuators.
